Your Location: PJ
Preferable brand : canon
Any specific models in mind? : canon sx110 is
Problem facing: worth to buy??? rclxub.gif
Specific features: Good photo quality, and good battery life

Question:
1. How far Canon SX 110IS picture quality different from LX3 [too expensive for me sweat.gif ]??
2. Any other canon model which is lower price than SX 110IS but its picture quality is not much different?? (of coz the battery life must be reasonable)
3. Since Canon SX 110IS is powered by AA battery, does it last longer than normal Li-on battery, or shorter??
4. In term of size, does it suitable for traveling?? [still thinking about it hmm.gif ]

Anyone can help me?? thanks in advance notworthy.gif

@cfcho, my 2 cents is to get the D60, newer body so features should be better. Think it has dust cleaning system while the D40 doesnt.

who says you cant find 40D anymore?
just go around shopping instead of asking here and you will know the real answer

@shafique, cheapest and lowest price?
Dont think anyone can beat Sony A200 price!

wypua, What you mean overexposure lighting condition? hmm.gif

@k3sh, depends where you are.
Can try YL at pudu plaza, Photo Selangor @ pertama and J One @ amcorp

sunnyzai, normally AA battery will have a shorter battery life compared to Li-Ion, but good thing is you can carry alot of AA with you
size?!? depends on you la. go shop test it.
i would say any pns camera can bring to travel since i carry a DSLR around  wink.gif

I would suggest getting the 850 IS
it's known that IXUS xxx series are better than xx series
the difference in MP is not noticeable 7.1 vs 8
You will have less dense sensor flex.gif  which means less noise

the other major advantage i would say is the wide angle lens on the 850 IS
it is 28 mm vs 38 mm which is way long if you are in a small room
The other advantage is 1.7 fps continous drive vs 1.3

the rest is almost the same
I would suggest pressing your fren's price down a bit  laugh.gif
say you need to upgrade to a 4gb card

I'd go with a new 80 IS - you never know where the used 850 IS has been to before...  whistling.gif

If you can go higher a bit opt for the 85 IS, it's good for its price.

Worth to sell, but not worth to buy. If it's IXUS 870IS then may consider as to what's the RM700 included, condition of the camera, screen protector and its accessories like extra battery and the capacity of memory card/s.

Prices of new compact cameras have fallen. These days you can get the same, if not better, features for less and with 2 yrs warranty, which is just right for its technological life span.

Do your maths and compare with a brand new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15@RM770 and see the freebies they are now giving till 31stMay2009.

Thanks for ur advice.

Actually, i am very concern about pic quality. so far, i don do any survey on Panasonic Lumix. But i heard good comments from a lot of ppl. may be can give it a try.

Juz wanna to know, if 860is and Fz15, which one is better? i like 860is is because of its wide angle function and pic quality thumbup.gif ..
