@cfcho, my 2 cents is to get the D60, newer body so features should be better. Think it has dust cleaning system while the D40 doesnt.

who says you cant find 40D anymore?

sunnyzai, normally AA battery will have a shorter battery life compared to Li-Ion, but good thing is you can carry alot of AA with you

Which one worth to buy?? canon Ixus 80IS (market price, rm750, rite?) or 2nd hand Canon Ixus 850is (from my fren, around RM650 or less).

I would suggest getting the 850 IS
it's known that IXUS xxx series are better than xx series
the difference in MP is not noticeable 7.1 vs 8
You will have less dense sensor   which means less noise

the other major advantage i would say is the wide angle lens on the 850 IS
it is 28 mm vs 38 mm which is way long if you are in a small room
The other advantage is 1.7 fps continous drive vs 1.3

the rest is almost the same
I would suggest pressing your fren's price down a bit 
say you need to upgrade to a 4gb card

I'd go with a new 80 IS - you never know where the used 850 IS has been to before... 

If you can go higher a bit opt for the 85 IS, it's good for its price.

Worth to sell, but not worth to buy. If it's IXUS 870IS then may consider as to what's the RM700 included, condition of the camera, screen protector and its accessories like extra battery and the capacity of memory card/s.

Prices of new compact cameras have fallen. These days you can get the same, if not better, features for less and with 2 yrs warranty, which is just right for its technological life span.

Do your maths and compare with a brand new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15@RM770 and see the freebies they are now giving till 31stMay2009.
