Below I am sharing with you a copy of letter for you guys to complain to TM.
As you can see, TM had not been providing us, the user with proper internet connection by playing with proxy, throttle, and etc. I have lots and lots of complain letter....

If you have a nice sample E-mail, kindly PM me and I shall update this.

So, here's my sample E-mail.

Added Tips and Strategy to Tackle The Issue

1. Always do maintain a polite tone in your e-mail address. Don't be rude or don't overrule them , usually they wouldn't be bothered to entertain. My best advice is to follow the e-mail guidelines provided by HeHeHunter above. Although you may do some modifications to make a unique. Do send carbon copy or copies of the e-mail to other divisions of TMNet and as well as to MCMC/CFM. Just remember not to spam !

2. Attach a screen shot whenever possible. This is true especially when you're facing disconnection issues , slow browsing to International sites. Take a couple of screen shots (i.e Modem Status , Speed Test (Tm's and International (i.e SpeedTest) ) and as well as ping/traceroute results . This would be better as pictures would describe a thousand words.

3. Do wait at least a week to get a reply. Suppose if you don't get any replies. Just try to send up a follow up to all the addresses above. If you still didn't get any replies , then by all rights as a consumer. You should publish it in the newspaper (as you have collected enough evidence) , that would certainly get their attention

Add in MCMC email address aduanskmm@cmc.gov.my and National Consumer Affairs email at fomca@fomca.org.my also.

Do note before you send a complain to MCMC, call up TM to complain, get the complain reference no and state it in and send a copy to MCMC. They will look into the matter.

Sorry for the compression ratio. But just to save some bandwidth also because... Many people have slow internet. We can be kind hearted also.

Soft side? Actually, I'm rest assured that they are answering us softly. Therefore, I feel that we treat soft with soft or we will end up on the losing side.

Most of you may have been assuming that I am a pro-TM person and such. However , up to date there is no thread (besides this and couple of others) that provides insight and in depth information on how to fight for rights. Rather then just opening a thread and then crying doesn't make sense. For that I do thank this forumer for his time to come up with all the sample letters for people to complain effectively

No examples needed. If you have send an email complain to TM, then u can forward that email to MCMC with a message "Dear xxx, I would appreciate if you can look into this matter, xxxxxxxx"

MCMC will come back to you if there need more details.

Good job, will use them when streamyx is acting funny. Though.. I have to wonder how can you view this when streamyx is acting up since you can't load forum lowyat sweat.gif

nice post, I do suggest this post as sticky till now 100s see it already and by some days will reach 1000s users if each user who read this post and send one complain letter to tm regarding the speed TM absolutely gona upgrade their services faster which will effect users directly for their goods.

I do see all the post related to this subject some says:
Tm sucks and streamnut is bad they cheat us. Come on people all Malaysian know that streamyx is the best internet provider in Malaysia till now .you says it’s not stable I say yes, you say its slow I say yes, but do we have better choice? The answer is no

You said ohh but the high people steal from the project and they put the money in their pocket, I say yes but are you going to change the facts? The answer is no, so just live with it.

If each user here act as adult good Malaysian Citizen, and reject this situation by trying to make Malaysia better place all of us will see changes.


Anyone agree with me?

your points are definitely correct. but what would you call changes for us are how TMnut gonna change their money reaping way of giving services and one of the way to do so is to send these kinds of adult and professional complain mails in which you can find here. i don't see anything wrong with this thread. more like if more people send these it's goin to give better results at least than just live along and accept yourself being cheated on, even though if the mail fails. at least you tried to complain your rights.

[Issue Resolved]. After complaining, they called the contractor , and the contrator send their supervisor to see the condition of my wiring, and all i could hear from him is "Oh my god, did they really do this?...".

Next day tomorrow morning, he send someone to fix my wiring and return me the money (except the RM30 that the tm need). For the problem that arise, the one send to fix my wiring just needed 10minutes to make my existing wiring working. The one coming ealier to my house might be a wiring n00b.

I would like to complaint against your TM Wiring Contractor. Yesterday,3.50pm 2 of them come to my house ( a flat, 2nd floor) to install and connect the fixed line. ( the appointed time is between 10am-12pm which they cant deliver without contacting me first)

However, not only they ignored the existing internal wiring ( which have been readily made available from the building contractor, all they need to do is just connect and punch it), but they insist on doing "NEW" wiring, with the reason that they "DON'T KNOW WHICH OF THE EXISTING CABLE THERE IS MY HOUSE'S SET OF WIRING" which is totally unacceptable. As it is their job and responsibility, "DON'T KNOW" is simply not an excuse.They also added that the other contractor dont want to do this and dump the job on them.( they complaint about how tired  they are etc etc)

Furthermore, as i live in a flat house, the new wiring that they made is just being  slipped through the floor electrical housing ( which house and route all the electrical wires in it for all the rooms in the floor). Once again they ignore the telephone's wire housing which is there and securely protected inside aluminium housing, and now the wire is floating outside, ready to be cut at any time ( if accident arise).

Not only that, they charge me an excessive amount of RM120 + RM30 ( RM30  is the amount i have to pay to TM as they explain), total of RM 150 for existing wiring ( which they dont know how to connect and ignored it).

I could provide u with the receipt that i receive with them as well as the picture of the wiring condition to my house. I would like to know how i should pursue the case, as my neighbour next door is using the existing building wiring, and my cousin house is just being charge RM30 ONLY for wiring.

I would categorize this case as cheating your client and demand immediate action being taken on your contractor at Bandar Baru Bangi's TM Exchange Point ( which is around 600M from my house).

Letter is good enough. Better if you can attach the receipt, picture, names or company of the contractors and send to Streamyx customer service. Wait for a 1-2 days to see if TM reply you. If no, forward the email you send to TM to MCMC and also a copy to the Consumer Affair.

I suggest always sent 'to' for MCMC, rather than 'cc' for MCMC...

Sugges sent 'to' all... rather than CC to MCMC only...

Dun forget about consumer association also...

It is why after you complained and make sure got complait number...

Then 2 to 3 weeks later, which the problem sure cannot solve (TM Boleh mah..), then call the billing department to rebate... Everyone have to call the billing department... It is because TM is money oriented, so when they are hurt via money way, they will be serious on doing things...

If TS have time, is there any template letter that can request TMNET to auto upgrade from 1mbps to 1.5 mbps like other customer that have enjoyed it? The unfair policy even though the area support until 4 mbps ..

That is their will, not ours. If they wanna gimme 4 mbps also, it's their choice. But if I apply 1mbps and they gimme 512kbps, I'll screw them up.

For some time, using SpeedTest only get 800 .. that's why can't tahan already .. vmad.gif . By giving 1.5 mbps port and capped it to 1024, isn't that possible? Like my previous 512kbps package, they give me 1024 but capped it to max 5xx (speedtest) nod.gif . So, by upgrading to 1mbps package lately, only about 280-300 kbps improvement ..

So much more so because we are deprived of any real alternatives towards taking any action against Screamyx except to rant about the problems.

I've sent the email below to them and yes, it's a very cynical letter and I'm not at all expecting anything to come out of it. It's just another rant. *sigh*


"As I write this, I am well-aware that you would have received many similar complaints by now whereupon there are many of your users who have experienced extremely slow connection over the past two months, me being one of them.

Using the internet is frustrating especially in this time and age where it has become an essential tool for the working world. The horrendous service provided by Streamyx has resulted in compromise on our work productivity and in view of the prolonged period over which this problem has persisted, it is no longer tolerable.

Calls to your customer service only serves to increase the frustration even more for they only want to take you through the normal "troubleshooting" procedures (of which none are applicable in my case, and I believe for most other users as well) and cannot give any concrete answers as they have no clue as to what is going on. So-called "maintenance in progress" seem to be a permanent state for Streamyx.

As an irate paying user and on behalf of fellow users, I demand an explanation to be given for the extreme slowdowns that we have had to put up with and what is being done to ensure we get the service we pay for. Finally, I request to be informed when all "upgrading" works will be finally over and done with so that we can get on with business.

While I am aware that this is a long shot, I do have a tiny bit of hope that I will get a proper response from your end and not an automatically generate reply.

Firstly, i would like to thank HeHeHunter very much for the guide. For over a month, my connection max speed is just around 800kbps something.
Then, i emailed them. 3 days after submitting email, i got a call from them asking how is my internet. then, i realize my port speed has been upgraded from 1024 to 1536. From my experience, it really works!!! hint: make sure to post speedtest screenshot with bad results. 800kbps something is enough to pay their attention (if ur on 1mbps package of coz).

so, i wanna share my successful email sample, so that can give benefit to others especially for you Irzani. Good Luck!!

Guys, i have this with me.

I'm a new TM streamyx subscriber, registered date on streamyx = 17Mar, but the internet connections activated on 24Mar.

I've received my 1st bill yesterday, and the statements date was on 16Mar, and they charged me in full amounts.

I would like to emails TM streamyx and request discount/rebate on this month payment fees as the lines were activated later 7 days.

Anyone did the same complaint before? should i copy the email to Consumer as well? Highly appreciated if you could share it. Many thx !

I'm also a new TM/Streamyx subscriber. I haven't even gotten my connection and already I have problems with their agents!

Received 2 calls from 2 different agents yesterday (Sunday!) and today.

Does anyone know how their agents work? I don't get why doesn't Streamyx just assign customers to agents because now I'm getting annoyed by calls. One of the agents was even from Penang and she was quite rude and pushy (the one on Sunday). She noticed I had signed up with 2 different agents (got another call on Monday, blurblur i answer the phone and say ok) and she insisted i cancel the other application and sign up with her only. And she'll give me rm50 rebate.

Have sent in complaint and enquiries to TM/Streamyx. No idea if they will answer. And to top it off the complaint form on their website doesn't seem to be working.

anyone had the same troubles?

the phone line ready? if so, you can request them to post you the modem, just follow some easy steps for installation.
ya..pls make sure your number is ready for streamyx. call to tm : 100 (lan line). Hope this help

from what i know, those kind of agents are third party. if u sign up with 2 different agents, of coz they will quarrel coz they are hoping for their commision and sales target as well. they can check registration status u know. i think tm will not looking forward about this kind of case. but i think, u should signed up with one agent only in the first place, to avoid quarrels and confusion among them. no offense ya smile.gif

I only apply through TM Manager. Never apply thru reseller.

i don't think so these Complaints will work.

these past few year alot people keep complaints untill tmnut ignore their customer problem.

thouse who got problem with their tmnut service only have hopless hope

My phone line was down for almost 3 weeks. the first week it was down from 16 May to 23rd May. Then it was well for a week from 23rd till 29th May I was out station. The it went down again on the 29th of May. I was extremely busy those few weeks with upcoming audits and what not at work and I had to deal with streamyx. I call the technician in my town directly to ask him for help on an almost daily basis. But they only gave empty promises. I then called TMNet helpline, and they also gave empty promises. So in the end I had to resort to MCMC. Here I have quoted my letter, if you're interested you may read my story (warning: the story is very loooong). Those who has similars problems as I do, feel free to modify my letter to suit your needs. I sent this email to MCMC and c.c. to help@tm.net.my, ceo@tm.net.my

One day after I sent this email, I recieved a follow-up with MCMC and TMNet emailed me to acknowledge that they have recieve the complaint through MCMC. By the second day, the technicians contacted me and solved my problem. So today I'm able to use the internet !! Finally! Also, my audit is over, so I'm free to enjoy my internet and my upcoming vacation next week biggrin.gif

YUp, I'm very glad too. biggrin.gif What I cannot understand is, it barely took the one day to solve my problem. Why can't they just do it in the 1st place? Even if they are short on man power, they could have called me up and follow-up with me explaining their situation then I wouldn't mind waiting for a while. The thing that I cannot tahan is that they completely took no action at all and ignored me my report....

I must admit. Something that can be done in just one day requires them few days as they need to go through higher management to approve the trouleshooting.

Last week 29/6/2009 i applied to relocate my streamyx combo to my new house. Till now still no news. I call them yesterday and they say cannot locate my house address. If cannot find why they didn't call me. Soo lame excuse. Some more my house is in putrajaya. Got so many sign board still cannot find. At the end of the month sure still have to pay Rm110 even if my internet still cannot use....
