@tgeoklin,
I don't know Y i was so careless! *siGh* but the good thing is that I did have the RM20k sitting in my Maybank Account so I probably could use that as a reason.

Will call them later and see what they can do - in the meantime, I've settled all outstanding with them [don't want interest to continue piling!] except for the finance charges. Will report back as to what the outcome is.

Hang on! Just to give you the right information ... MBB does not have this facility. (A few threads back, a forummer got into trouble for this wrong information) This is only available via CIMB/DA (Mastercard only) iPay facility.

Never heard such facility for Maybank...

Anyway, u can try to do balance transfer that will lower the interest rate and also installment plan..
Its just like u applying a new credit card from other bank, and then "transfer" your balance to that new credit card.
Which actually means the new bank would pay your existing bank the money and charge u on their own bank.

According to the flyer which I received, DA still got rebate (for Mastercards only). Capped to a maximum spending or RM2.5K or RM50 rebate per card per monthly statement. Valid till 30th April 2009.
