Hi,
Hmmm.... Same case happen to me no matter I apply on line or at their brach.
Rejected no matter what documents I submitted. doh.gif
After few times rejection,I complaint to 1 of the branch manager and get some info from him regarding PBB cc.
They hav an internal criteria which a person who already hold cc for more than 6 issuers they will declined ur application. Due to holding too many cc. I dun know if it is true but I think it should be the reason my application rejected. rclxub.gif

The branch manager promised will forward my case to the head of card centre for appeal but not guaranteed approval. Hope to get his reply soon.

Anyone got idea or can help for PBB cc??? notworthy.gif I'll buy best dinner if anyone can help!!! notworthy.gif

EON Bank also got some similiar restrictions tongue.gif

PBB is pretty pick on giving credit cards. They like to verify this and that and this and that. They think twice. Its not recommended to get credit card from them. EON bank seems to bit okay on the other hand on issuing credit cards !

I submitted my income proof, income tax receipt, bank statement, other bank FD cert, other issuer plat cc with many years vintage and whatever they request.
My income is more than enough to qualify, even the officer and branch manager oso surprise my application being denied.
I also went to BNM to get my credit report and the advisor of BNM told me my record is excellent and should be able to get any credit facilities from any credit institution.
Maybe luck problem........... sad.gif
Will wait for the branch manager reply. Hope it will be good news........ tongue.gif

Heavy usage, never late payment and fully paid every month.
Still they denied my application...... cry.gif

Perhaps I m not the type of customer PBB like????? rclxub.gif

Hey There

Yeah. I've people that I do know who are working PBB , saying that its very hard to get a good credit score from PBB. These people take a bit of long time to process your application. Many people didn't get through it - i am not sure how they process. Do you have many credit cards. I sense that PBB doesn't like a person who carries many credit card. Usually PBB doesn't do a lot of credit card roadshows

Oh , for other banks such as HSBC , maybank. Its easier to get a credit card once you have a credit card from other credit institution/bank

RockIron,

If you plan apply again, try to submit just one CC for reference. Unless they ask or scrutinize the detail CCRIS from BNM. wink.gif Sometimes, too many may not be 'good'.

"BatuBesi",

Worse case, just terminate most of your current CC, retain 1-3 cards actively use, then apply the rest first. Once got it, reapply those cancelled. tongue.gif

MBB is usually quite strict with first-timers, either they'll reject or give low credit limit. Suggest you try CIMB instead.
*
How low? What credit limit do you think they will give for first-timers with anual income between RM 30k - RM 40k?

I prefer Maybank because my salary is paid to my Maybank account, so easier for me to make CC payment. If I applied for CIMB, I have to go to their branch / pay RM 2 interbank charges. sweat.gif

QUOTE(inspiron @ Jan 19 2009, 05:01 AM)
Certain company like Dell or Intel, once you job is confirmed, you do not need salary slip. The CC would push a card for you to use already
*
I'm working in Dell. tongue.gif

What do you mean by confirmed? My probationary status has been lifted? unsure.gif

QUOTE(SeLrAhC @ Jan 19 2009, 01:24 PM)
i think u at least need 3 months payslip...
*
3 months? Their website say only 2 months.

I was rejected the first time by MBB, so I managed to get DA with a very nice CL (more than 3x my salary at that time). More than a year later, I applied for MBB again and was approved with lower CL than DA (a bit more than 2x salary at time of application).

Checking with my colleagues who got MBB as their first CC, their initial CL was less than 2x monthly salary, even down to 1.2-1.5x for some cases. Some of their MBB CL is not yet 2x monthly salary despite working for a few years and still only using MBB.

You can try your luck with both MBB and CIMB, it's free to apply. smile.gif

This is a very good point, since he submitted his monthly statements from other banks, PBB already knows that they're not going to make any money off him except for basic merchant fees. Not worth their time at all to consider further. ohmy.gif
