Might be possible. I have encountered situation (not sure whether it is a credit card authorization to debit or online form) where all the information on the front portion of the card is sufficient. (Read : CVV not required)

I could be wrong ... for better confirmation can ask
*
thank you for that info. as per my case I don't think I can take any action accept monitoring any unauthorised transaction. eventhough I go back to the photocopy shop she might have copy the information somewhere else. I pray the first copy is unclear as the second copy that I got also is just barely clear.

and actually when I remember..it is true everything at front is sufficient. My reaction just now is slow, I know she do it twice because the first is unclear but can't react at the same time. moral of the story don't photocopy your personal stuff at shop if possible do it yourself at office (if ok).

Talking about photo-copier/printer, the higher-end ones have memory and disk to store ALL the images that it copy/scan. Once set, it does it automatically without customers even aware that it is storing a copy. Connect it to network/PC, it can send a copy to the PC HDD.

To the HSBC Premier Credit Card holder, what is the minimum credit limit? Can use this card to apply another exclusive credit card such as CIMB World mastercard or SCB Visa Infinite?

If you can qualify for a premier card, sure can use for World Mastercard or Infinite card but you will need to transfer the FDs to the respective bank, plus need to have held your premier card for at least a year. Cheers tongue.gif

That's not entirely true. e.g. if u want to get SCB Infinite -

1. Just show them another card with a min credit limit of 60K (they will back derive your income for credit processing purposes)

2. Earn 50K a month and give them a payslip.

50k per month? Are you sure? I check their website, it only mention 150k per year only means that 12.5k per month.

My mistake. Massive typo. 150K p.a. only.....don't know how I wrote 50K per month!

But very sure on credit limit for prompt cases - 60K credit limit on your other card to qualify

if i'm not wrong Hsbc premier entry level CL would be 40k. That's 10k higher than their conventional plat card which start from 30k.
Cimb WORLD Mastercard need at least 100k CL as prompt case. That's the min limit they request. Am not sure for scb visa infinite but from their website the income requirement are same as hsbc plat card 150k p.a .

This particular requirement is correct. I spoke to someone in SCB before. (No ... I don't work in SCB, just in case anyone is asking)

If I spend >50% of my cc each month .. and I pay more than 40% every month ... can I consider as big spender ?

Possible to upgrade card to higher standard ?

Currently using MBB and Cimb

Used to do cards a bit in my past life. A bit rusty - but take this with a +/- 10% deviation.

1. From the bank's perspective - 50% of your utilization every month is considered fairly good. The average industry utilization rate is approx 30%. This means you spend more than the industry from a utilization of credit limit perspective.

2. If you pay more than 40% every month - loosely speaking - you revolve on about 10% of your balances. Banks would still classify you as a Transactor (TR). the three other classes are Occasional Revolver (OR), Mid revolver (MR) and High Revolver (HR). TR's pay in full or 90%. Conversely, HR's revolve on 90% of their spending. Again - from a very simplistic manner - banks prefer non delinquent MR and HR customers - as they contribute more to the bank's bottomline.

3. For card upgrades - some banks do so automatically, using their scoring standards. Having said that, they also do take into account your spending and repayment patters. For your case - since u are the one that's initiating an upgrade - the bank will normally request for more information. e.g. payslip (if your pay has increased) or another card with a higher credit limit (to bank derive your income).

RM40,000. Might request for a HUGE increase in credit line if you have at least RM500,000 of FD inside HSBC Malaysia. Then you probably can use it to apply for CIMB Wolrd Mastercard and SCB Infiinite without producing your salary statement. And why do i mention FD and not your big loan with HSBC or your investments in their Unit Trust/Structured Products ? Because FD is basically a risk-free investment.
