BTW, how effective is the NB heatsink at cooling? It gets almost as hot as my Tracers when running my CPU higher than 3.6GHz.

UD3P user here. Do you guys have any problems running dual channel? Been using Kingston HyperX and Team Xtreem 4x1 GB RAM but can't seem to run dual channel. Any help greatly appreciated. smile.gif

How difficult can it be? The NB has two screws (just use a screwdriver), the nearby heatsink which it's attached to has three clips. Certainly less scary than installing the CCF on any Intel motherboard.

ya i admit.. tat's y i rather choose Xiggy RS over CCF for easy installation and the performance is more or less the same.. now hunting for cheap Xiggy RS.. anyone has one and wanna sell it? laugh.gif

CCF is designed for AMD procs so it's a nobrainer for Phenom 2. Most of the issues is because of the LGA775 and LGA1336 backplate, it's having a silly large circle shape that makes it hard to fit on cramped mobos and hard to clip on as well.

I'm using 2x2GB kingston value ram and before that 1GBx4 Team Xtreem 667 DDR2 RAM. Cannot manage to do dual channel. It's getting pretty frustrating.

im running kingston value ram 2x2gig and its fine.
testing it with super pi on fsb 500 1:1 and no errors, maybe u got bad rams?

what do u mean by canot run dual channel? if u plug 4 slots and power up, it running at dual channel.
been using dual channel with my crucial 10th anny and can do 1250mhz easily..

this is my first time using p45 ud3p and guess what, i got faulty unit.

ram slot no.3 and 4 doesnt work. everytime i try to use single ram at slot no.3 or 4 i got short beep too many, i think about 20 times.

no luck. cry.gif

Is kingston hyperx good coz i c its cheap..btw my spec is as my siggy...thanx..
