QUOTE(yimingwuzere @ Jul 1 2009, 01:28 PM) It can, if you orient it upwards. I haven't tried yet but it looks like you can also fit it vertically by removing the NB heatsink first and installing the NB heatsink again after mounting the CCF. scary liao..... BTW, how effective is the NB heatsink at cooling? It gets almost as hot as my Tracers when running my CPU higher than 3.6GHz. |

QUOTE(uzer85 @ Jul 3 2009, 09:20 AM) How difficult can it be? The NB has two screws (just use a screwdriver), the nearby heatsink which it's attached to has three clips. Certainly less scary than installing the CCF on any Intel motherboard.QUOTE(Kevin @ Jul 3 2009, 10:36 AM) UD3P user here. Do you guys have any problems running dual channel? CCF is designed for AMD procs so it's a nobrainer for Phenom 2. Most of the issues is because of the LGA775 and LGA1336 backplate, it's having a silly large circle shape that makes it hard to fit on cramped mobos and hard to clip on as well. |
