im running kingston value ram 2x2gig and its fine.
testing it with super pi on fsb 500 1:1 and no errors, maybe u got bad rams?

depends how high u wanna clock it i guess? even my cheap kingston value ram does 970 without too much trouble but of course timing not as tight as those expensive one

isnt OCZ PC2 8000 Platinum Edition rated at 5-5-5-18?? found a review at http://www.ocia.net/reviews/pc2_8000platinum/page3.shtml they loosen the timing basically ^^;

not sure what settings is avaliable on ur board since i use ud3p but heres the setting i used to get my crappy kvr 800 to 970

highest fsb overclock i can get ram got so hot ; ;

i used a q6600 but im runnin 9x400 at the moment the ram gets too hot and im scared it will melt ^^;
