Hi fellas,

Just bough an Edifier DA5000 pair with XFI Extreme Gamers. The satellite is able to produce crystal clear sound which is fabulous, better than my old R501.

Only problem is the bass is quite 'boomy' and sometimes i hear sound like 'wuug' 'wuug'.. very annoying. My ear pain edy.. Haha.

Is there a way to get the subwoofer to produce 'tighter' bass? I place the subwoofer on a carpeted floor.

But I'm still very happy with this speaker biggrin.gif

Turn off any Equalizer setting and dont use any features of your sound card to enhance/alter the sound..leave it to default and let your DA5000 alone handle all the sound

i believe that is cause by X-FI,i have same experience when i try to plug my S330 onto X-fi,the bass become heavier and treble become oversharp [cool.gif(S330 oredi very sharp by default),although the bass is heavier, but it become less dynamic and less flexible compare to my onboard Conexant HD2 soundcard.Sound details was improved but i feel this sound card not suitable for S330 for those who want to listen music.

Audiotrack Prodigy is another option if want to buy sound card for S330.

x-fi is well known for gaming n music purpose...music hell no...i experience it b4 wif my xtreamemusic...it happen the exactly same situation like u...bass n treble not expected that nice...

unless u use it for 5.1 or 7.1 setup...because the movie features like dobly,THX n etc.. biggrin.gif

forget about the wall-mountable part, i just love the m3300 the way it is. if i really need to wall mount the satellites someday, i'll just buy some scotch tapes or industry grade double sided tapes, that ought to do it. but m3300sf satellites do look better though, shinier and with metal (or metal-like) stands.

M3300SF and M3300, apart from the thinner satellites and the fact that it can be hung on the wall, it's up to your ear to decide which is better.

I would prefer M3300 though

guys, i finally decided to buy the s330 instead!! but is it worth it? im using it for my creative mp3 and my laptop, and my music are all in mp3 format, mainly 256 to 320kbps. i dont have much lossless or flac. so is it more appropriate to get just a m3300 or a s330? will the sound improve much even though i only use normal mp3?

Added on January 6, 2009, 10:32 amby the way, im so sorry i keep asking and switching back and forth between s330, m3300 and m3300sf... i really have limited budget, but im willing to borrow some cash to buy the s330.. sorry to trouble u guys. and thanks for helping me out!! wink.gif

then s330 it is!! cant wait to be it's proud owner! by the way, just wondering, since the s330 has 2 audio inputs, one on the back of subwoofer and one on the remote, can i switch back n forth between 2 different sources? say i wanna connect the sub to my laptop and the remote to my mp3, and im too lazy to take off the cables.
