the M3300 remote control is designed that way, so that when u plug in headphone, u need to press the mute button to mute the speaker. without this feature, some user sometimes "shock" when they plugged out their headset because of louder sound from speaker. now u know why got the mute button right there in the remote.

Well, that is a great news for iPod users!
Now there is a minor "facelift" for the Edifier MP300. Another news for laptop user: Edifier MP300 PLUS ![]() ![]() ![]() Edifier MP300 ![]() ![]() Based from source, MP300 Plus has improved spec from MP300. I personally can't wait to listen it "live" |

well since u use an x-fi, set the bass boost at 50Hz, at desired level (dB) surely it can increase the bass in very good way. (rather than messing with EQ and so on)

QUOTE(tetsuhighrose @ Jan 11 2009, 06:31 AM) hello there i need ur guys help here, which is the best edifier 2.1 speaker support red/white cable (one for input and another output) for example like this pic: u can get an Edifier E3100. it sounds 1000x better than your SG EVO3. bad thing is there is no headphone jack. it features double RCA input connection (red and white) and price is at about 160.![]() the speaker in the pic is old skool sonic gear evo 3 I went to the Mines few days ago and having difficult time to find edifier speaker that support 2x red/white plug in plus headphone jack Already tried search n google but found support only one red/white cable. Because i use av cable for my PS budget under rm180. my apology for not good at explaining. actually u can get any speaker connected to your PS. u just need a (Y-DVD Splitter) QUOTE(sheenho @ Jan 11 2009, 07:11 PM) ive tried to unplug it and there no tsssk sound dy.. that means my pc or soundcard prob, thx dude it quite depends on your ears... but depending on what are u comparing. for an example u are comparing modern onboard soundcard with a.., say RM200 x-fi cards. the different won;t be that much. but if u compare RM200 x-fi cards to an old onboard soundcard, of course external soundcards are better. the loudness of 'tsssskk' sound depend on the volume, the higher the louder.. ive one more question now, will there be big different in sense of sound quality with the usage of expensive soundcard and normal onboard soundcard? hence: if u have good onboard sound and wish to upgrade, get more expensive soundcard so that u can feel the difference and not regret buying it... |

QUOTE(cyew86 @ Jan 17 2009, 08:34 PM) its been like 2 months from singapore.last time i checked, early - mid 2008 the S330D MSRP is SGD199, C3 SGD180, MX5021 SGD200-220, AEGO M SGD220. but, one day around Q3 2008 i visited SLS, and i've found one shop on 5th floor they selling C3 for SGD180 and S330D for SGD129(its for sale tag). i check the supplies they have quite a lot of boxes of S330D there. i went next door and check S330D is still 199. curious, i check at pricelist in internet from some parts of the world. comes out that in some countries, C3 price is higher than S330D. so i think the SGD129 S330D isn't a fake one... |

yes i agree, edifier should make laptop speakers too. or at least some PC or barebone or LCD speaker. so that it written "powered by edifier".
btw new aspire acers are powered by dolby home theater. when using headphone and dolby headphone is turned on (dolby v2), let me tell u creative CMSS3D headphone is no match.... on the other hand, many toshibas are incorporating SRS TruSurroundXT and so on. i must admit, the sound is significantly improved using the software, until i find the ha**ed version and install it on my acer. i wonder, for notebook: dolby + SRS + edifier = ? |

MP300+ bag is optional, thats why people aren't selling at same price. |

i almost bought C3 for myself the other day. lucky didnt get it. but i think it has 8" subwoofer which should have good potential IF connected to better soundcard i.e. x-fi with bass boost.
i am gonna move to new place and therefore need a new speaker, considering the edifier C3, altec MX5021 (but too big) and AEGO M. already tested all the speakers but size too big still thinking... any idea? |

QUOTE(alvinX @ Mar 12 2009, 11:47 PM) I saw C11 at Singapore IT show just now.. this is the flyer of singapore IT show, edifier booth.but i got no idea about the spec.. how is this set? can anyone point me out? thanks anyway, for those ppl asking about edifier C3 and S330 and S330D. here is the detail. as i have mentioned before, the C3 now is more expensive than the S330 in sg. maybe due to prod.cost » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « edit= after i glance at the flyer one more time, i realised the price of MP221 is so cheap now, as well as iF220, E1100, MP210 also. dunno what happen, maybe less ppl take them? the M2300 price is still high as comparison. wish i am in sg, so can get an MP221 and E1100 maybe. i almost get a c3 but hearing ppl saying its less powerful, i think 1st.
yes u need to get dedicated soundcard, something like x-fi and add bass boost. but i heard in review saying that, when EIDC is kicking in, the bass performance suffers, so maybe the bass cant be so boomy. but luckily my ex mp300 with eidc, with tweaked bass settings, the bass become much better despite eidc turned on. |

yes. this is how it works. to make sure, u must check the box, also ask the staff. because in some cases, they wrote S2.1 for example, but inside its a S2.1D. no problem. if u wanna see how Edifier S550D perform, u go this guy's youtube = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X928YKClop8
when i play that video, i can say that the sub is so strong, until the camera mic distort. because over here using my 2 5.25" sub i can hear shaking. also, when i play my music damn loud and record using digicam, still no distortion. Edifier S series rules! |

QUOTE(lynsuxxx @ Apr 2 2009, 09:54 AM) hi nismo, yes, since the m3300 subwoofer disappoint me, i change to another "cheap speaker". the speaker are about E3100 in terms of sound, but better. i use x-fi surround 5.1 usb soundcard, quite good. u can check my video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uK3qmuAkBMg i use 2 pieces of the speaker on the ending part of the video...may I know what speaker you're using now? yeah, I do not need very solid bass like those in the club, but at least don't give me the wuuuuuuuuuu fan-alike sound. (I want a woofer that have good bass response, can go very deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep, not wuuuuuuuuuuuuu sound) thanks. |

i was like you before. the thing is, u cannot really tell the difference if u compare onboard and cheap soundcard straight. even so my x-fi 5.1 usb.
but i guess, what other said, below 100 is a waste. at least get a xonar or x-fi. but, as time flies, i tweak here and there, when i listen back to my onboard, it sounds crap. so the best is not to compare side-by-side, but to use it for prolonged time, then u listen to onboard. anyway, beside soundcard, i also tweak my wmp11, otherwise cant really boost the performance. srs audio sandbox = no-no dfx sound enhancer = no-no ffdshow audio decoder = resample & lfe crossover. x-fi bass boost= yes, @40hz i am writing this in response to lynsuxxx who is using a M3300 those who think srs and dfx are good, nvm.
