Hi, thanks for the reply.
Will let the speaker on the whole night at 1/4 vol.
Hope that the sound quality will improve after the burn in else it's gotta be a pain to send it for exchange or anything like that.
BTW, how many hours usually this type of speaker needs to be burn in? Thanks cheers.gif

Hi all,

I just went to PC Fair III today and get my parents an Edifier M3300SF.
But I really regret getting it as both clarity and bass respond is no where near Klipsch GMX A2.1 that I own right now.
Or am I missing something here? Does this speaker needs time to burn in?
Klipsch GMX A2.1 sounds damn nice even fresh out of da box...

Can anyone tell me what am I missing here? Since many ppl here recommends this model so I thought I wanna get it as a present for my parents... hope someone here would shed some light to me so I wont regret getting these...

Btw, the demo unit sounds just great...

p/s: one side note, when I played high notes in high( half ) vol, the satellite gives a strange "sha sha" sound...

Hi, yup I know that those are two different level of speaker.

But I would never have thought that the quality would be so far apart. Oh well, I will not be the end user anyway. The best I can do is burn in the speaker and then to my parents it goes.

I just hope that it sound a lil bit better after burn in.

ur music quality oso very important bro, especially playing with these type of speaker ( i call it wet ) ,klipsch is 'dry' type, so usually we hard to detect the 'sha sha' sound with those ''dry'' speaker. One of example will be my old Altec Lansing VS4121,those music which is consider as good quality one when play with VS4121 all become crap once i play them with my S330,u can hear all the bad details clearly,Try to play another song,i believe it is cause by the song's problem. biggrin.gif As Reve said, let the speaker burn in or exercise a bit first,it can help the speaker produce more dynamic sound, but the 'sha sha' sound is big percentage is ur song quality problem. biggrin.gif

Hi, thanks for the reply. As I said in my post, the Edifier speaker only have that "Sha Sha" sound when I played high notes music at high volume(> 1/2 vol).
Other than that, vocal clarity still broken and bass is not that punchy. I understand that no matter what, the M3300 cant fight Klipsch in terms of bass reproduction, but at least I would expect the clarity to be somewhere near Klipsch but I was so disappointed last night when I switch on the speaker...

Maybe as most forumer said here, I will let it burn in first before I judge any further. So far right now, I cant find any reason for me to spend Rm229 for this set of speaker. If I am the one who's stuck to M3300 in its current state, I wanna cry.gif

Hi all,
I'm a new user of Edifier C3. Just bought it at PC Fair yesterday. As for the first time i plugin the speaker, the sounds is quite flat. But i found that it turns better from time to time. Anyway, there's still a noise comes out for the satellites (both). I really can't stand with it.

Some people say it maybe comes from the song itself especially for mp3 because it was ripped in low quality. But, i have try with my original audio cd, still got the noise... rclxub.gif I dont think it's a normal thing for this kind of speaker because my old sonic gear (cost only 100) never produce the noise. Or the speaker still in 'burn in' process... Can somebody explain this...?

Thank u!

p/s: I don't know what to call the 'noise', it could be the 'sha-sha', but all i can say the noise sounds like bubble, and the music something like tersekat2 but in a fast way... Huhu!

To burn in you can either play songs like normal volume level or using a burn in software. Other way to increase speaker performance is by using a decent sound cards for those who really care about sound reproductions.

Ur tv using wat kind of output for audio? if red and white, then u will need this(yellow arrow) ,connect the red and white to ur TV and the another side by using the green 3.5mm jack of ur default M3300 cable.actually there are many way to connect, this is one of the example. biggrin.gif ur tv is located in living room ?if ya, do note the sound quality may affected if ur living room is too large, the power of M3300 may not able to handle a big room biggrin.gif

since u gonna purchase a plasma TV,i assume ur budget for speaker is quite high oso,

if u wan 2.1 speaker ,try the monster S730 at around RM999 biggrin.gif
if 5.1 speaker,try another monster S550 at around RM1299 biggrin.gif
or another cheaper 2.1 called S530D at around RM700 biggrin.gif

you can ask him for more information.

Anyway, i think almost all speakers got at least 1 year warranty, i think you need to bring back to the shop you bought for RMA (in case your speaker less than 1 year).
