finally i know how to "reduce" the brightness from the satellites from my R501. it's actually simple, instead of putting my speakers at max volume (because i control them from my windows volume thru remote and hotkeys), i set them to half max. strange but true, the brightness is also noticable reduced.

as well as for realtek users, checking the "full range" speakers option and restart is mandatory to obtain better overall frequency response. source. mine only takes effect properly after a restart.

glad, now everything is solved. even more satisfied with my R501.
