I think should be 75-80db measuring using SPL meter
my old Yammy reference is -10db
the marantz is -8db

75-80 dB using slow "C" weigthing

Mine @ -6db the output from my speakers to my listening positions are 75db.
As for htkaki, he's probably getting 75db also.
This is only to level all speaker to sound the same and enjoy what's really recorded as it's supposed to.
As for the sub i Made my spot on 77~79db. Can't get them accurate. Until i felt like throwing up also cannot get 78db constant.

Nvm Tonight i'll do it again. getting addicted to the throwing up effect.

Mine and htkaki's difer 2db might be he's got more snakes than i have more worms. So 2db justify lar .. and also space and room in completely diffrent.

Erik mentioned that the shipping company made a mistake with jwyj shipping charges. Its suppose to be for KL only so the shipping company have to absorb the extra cost to send it to Miri door-to-door.

So, jwyj, you are very lucky because the quote i got for sending 2 PC12-NSD d2d is double what you pay.

The quote I got is to Miri, so I suppose its to miri airport. I am getting confirmation from Erik. Will be getting the Plus as the shipping to ariport is only USS20 different.

But if I ship via fedex, then I guess i have to pay full tax since they will pay the tax and collect form me. But if I ship to airport to collect my self, then I think i can "negotiate" the tax with the relevant authority Maybe htkaki can enlighten us on whether we can "negotiate the tax". Anyway, my house is only 5 mins from the miri airport.

If miri airport, then similiar to my quote. Can order again. MY svs is now in KL.

Reference lvl should be 80db @ spl mtr..

I tink my 7002/spkrs combo is -13 n my subs are hot a bit ..
Normal listening lvls vary from -16 to -20 dependin on movies, time and also my mood..

Apart from tax, you need to pay processing and documentation fees to logistic co. Abt RM153. Then, with all the documents, you need to go to Custom Building. Go to a section called 'Dagang Net'. Here, you need to fill up a form and declare under tariff code : 851821000 which is for speaker. Here, you need to pay abt RM22+ (4got the amt).

This dept will calculate the amt of tax that you need to pay. Invoice and other documents need to be given to them. Then, they ll print out a tax document.

With this, you need to go to Custom Counter and look for an officer. They will check again and sign on the tax form. After that, you need to go to the counter to pay. I wonder how you can 'negotiate'. Maybe Miri is different or unless you knew someone. I prefer paying it as I do not want any trouble since they have all the details

After paying it, they will give you a copy of it. While exit checkpoint, you need to show the copy and your item for verification. If you declare incorrectly or try to 'cheat', then pandai-pandailah.
