Hi guys, I think I made my decision to get the np5797, just wanna ask, for harddisk right, is that big differrent btwn 7200rpm and 5400rpm? Coz if I insist 7200rpm then the max capacity i can get is 320GB which is not so sufficient to me... ...
performance between the 2 drives will only be slightly noticeable, and only during program startup as well. won't cause your games to lag or anything. also due to the way harddisks are designed, their I/O speeds are limited by RPM & disk density. ie: a 500GB 5400RPM will be as fast as a 320GB 7200RPM

IMO heat plays a role too, my 7200RPM Seagate HDD on my NP8660 peak at 67C one time when I'm backing up my Steam to my external HDD. During gaming season it normally stays around ~60C and idle at ~50C. 5400RPM HDD is cooler by a good ~10C or more.
i'm back in btu
