Yo corad, long time no see.. ><...

Actually asus have been dominating in the gaming laptop industry for quite some time.. (If not for their g73jh having GSOD problems i would have chose it instead.. more value for the buck.. tongue.gif)

If one can be sure that the new batches of the g53jw is problem free, it is certainly a value buy in my opinion..  biggrin.gif

hey man .. haha, trying to spend my free time away from the pc if can, so haven't been forum-ing much tongue.gif

I'm hoping ASUS gets the g53 right , after the G73 "trials" . Too bad Sager hasn't lowered the price to match, otherwise I'd have gone straight to them without a thought.

asus g53 is too flashy, take outside and use sure catch a lot of attention, still prefer sager, low profile but insane performance brows.gif

Asus G-Series notebooks are not as flashy as AW yet.  sweat.gif

I think this new G series is better than their previous orange coloured 1's laugh.gif

I'll keep you guys updated though, still got some time to think since it's a pre-order.

My question now is, when is Mucro gonna update their website with the NP5135. Suggesting it to a friend and he's not really keen on getting it from XoticPC. laugh.gif I wonder if the price of the 5135 would be the same as the 5125 because they are similar.

Between that and the Asus A42JA. Which would be better for gaming?
*
Take a look at http://www.gentechpc.com/. They have nearly identical prices with xoticpc, but WIN in the shipping fee smile.gif I now use them instead of xoticpc for this reason, cuts about 50-100USD off the bill

With Asus you get warranty, Sagers are trickier depending on who you buy from.

But right now, with the way Asus is overtaking everyone else in the gaming scene (AW,Sager,Toshiba etc) , I would lean ever so slliigghhhttllyyy towards the Asus.

appropriately Sager has lowered their prices on the NP8690. And I've canceled my order for the Asus G53 due to their *&%@"&&% delays (3 weeks) and the fact that the G53 I received could not boot ! Since opening it would void my warrenty, I opted to send it back to GenTech at my own cost.

Thankfully they found (and were honest) that the HDD's connection were loose , and accepted responsibility for that. So now waiting for the Sager smile.gif

You can email xoticpc.com to ask, since they may have new rates. Also look at gentechpc.com , I've found these 2 to be cheapest. Done business with both before and no complaints smile.gif

how about battery life then? how long does it last with 1 charge, with usage like web browsing and wifi
*
don't expect much, I'd say 2 hours is probably the max you can go.

I've had the NP8660 & 8690 and they rarely leave the table because of the batt life. Using a asus eee whenever I need mobility tongue.gif

Guys, you bought the Sager laptops from Mucro Asia, so what's the shipping fee if we order the laptop from East Coast Malaysia?

I'm currently comparing between XoticPc and Mucro Asia, pricewise, I think XoticPC is cheaper excluding the shipping.

Please advice.
*
xotpicpc shipping is rip off at USD 219 ... I've gotten Sagers from them before & the shipping has just gone up & up (used to be USD 72 , 3 years back)

I'd say take a look at gentech pc , also a US retailer and some price with xoticpc , except their shipping is USD 122. Bought 2 months ago, and no problems at all smile.gif
