corad, could u ask them more about the warranty. since 6.1k is very tempting price with superb specs, we consider about warranty also. since i read on their webs it comes with 3 years warranty. by them or sager? and if got problem here, what is the procedure? sending to them back or claim by our own?

Servicing is only done in the United States and all postage costs after delivery are bore by the buyer unsure.gif

15.4inch. Standard width and length with other 15.4 inches. this offers much higher reso tho

Nice stuff going on there. Too bad the warranty issue is a letdown for most people. For 6.1k at such specs, you might describe it as 'affordable' but the problem is the warranty.

ANyways, congrats on the new purchase!! Maybe you want to show off at the "Buy Club" as well. biggrin.gif

powernotebooks & sager themselves dont ship internationally. the company I bought it from does however (link on 1st post) payment is done through TT (direct) transfer.

The laptop spec is simply awesome, sadly Malaysia don't get good hardwares for lappy that early. sweat.gif Alienware entered 8700m gt SLi a long time ago while Malaysia Dell just adopt to it recently. doh.gif

If i not mistaken xoticpc doesnt do shipping outside of the US or do they? Plus if i was interested in purchasing one, i cant use cc but i need to wire transfer in order to purchase one?

Also i found that for the price your paying is well below the recommended price as displayed at xoticpc, are you entitled to some special discount?

very thumbup.gif spec, DDR3 + 500gb HDD + UXWGA+ in 15.4" LCD + Matte screen + 9800GTS 512mb.... everythg is better than mine.... this is abit insane

looking forward for some screenshot such as:
- 3dmark06 default benches,
- simultaneous ATItool stress + Orthos stress (blend+priority 8) + HWmonitor for at least 30mins
- CPU-z + GPU-z

Yes, xoticpc does ship internationally and they require wire transfers for international orders.

The price i'm paying is discounted with these offers : -EDITED-

No longer relevant since these discounts are already over.

For that price and features .. I will stick on Macbook Pro if I were to upgrade .. but surely not in the near future .. mine is still just under 2 yrs old .. load of life still on it ..

Added on October 24, 2008, 7:44 amBTW, ain't Sager is one of those companies that rebrand others' products? I believe this brand has been on US market for quite a while and wondering why they're not starting to build their own series from scratch but rather rebrand others'.

hmmm ? A Macbook pro costs at least RM1k more expensive than this , is less powerful in all areas and lacks convenience for ports. sweat.gif but then again, i'm an apple basher whistling.gif blush.gif

yeap, sagers are rebranded clevo's. The same goes for Alienware, Falcon Northwest, Rock , Voodoo etc etc etc Probably much cheaper to buy off bulk ? unsure.gif

And also, those who are interested can add custom paint jobs / laser sketches and LED's to the laptop for that extra bling (and cost)

yes, OS will affect the 3dmark06 score (XP vs vista).... just do it with ur winXP for 3dmark06....

while stressing it with ATItool + orthos and using HWmonitor to monitor the max temperature of ur CPU, GPU and chipset for long run stressing, the OS wont affect it i guess..
