erm...currenlty i m looking for a 500gb 32mb hdd....WDgreen prie is the most net in market would it be just around RM185~RM190 for it...it's much more cheaper if compare with other branded Hdd...what else suggestion u guys will give other than WD?

prob is , i bought it at pc fair last year, lost the receipt, and forgot which shop i buy frm.

You can RMA directly with seagate.

im using Western Digital hdisk and im quite satisfied with it.
before this im using Maxtor and broken..sent RMA,broke again..then i buy another Maxtor hdisk..keep happen problem..
i lost all my data (assignment++)..this happen 3years ago..
then my fren suggest me to try WD..and till now im happy with WD...
1.320GB green
2.640GB blue
3.1tb blue

my hitachi hard disk is still under 3 year 1-1 warranty, according to the sticker on it. bought from viewnet last time.

im considering buying 500gb hard disk. currently what i have in mind is

WD caviar green 32mb (nt available in any shops at kk )
WD caviar green 16mb (widely available, but 16mb cache? )
Seagate Barracuda firmware 7200.12 (still scared, coz i have a 7200.11 n its failing alot recently)
Hitachi (but i cant find reliable reviews, even in Lowyat.Net)


I've been checking many reviews, it is said that Seagate is a single platter, while WD just recently began selling 500gb in single platter. i doubt i can have it anytime soon.

Some reviews gave few negative feedback regarding WD caviar blue. I intend to get green, but its nt available here at kk, sabah.

What is more suprised is that price for HDD is about rm10-20 cheaper compared to Lowyate.Net. Im really suprised, coz pc accesories usually costs slightly expensive in Sabah.

I'm looking for an old 2.5" Samsung hard disk model MP0804H, 80GB/5400rpm/8M/PATA (sold in 2006). I don't mind it's a USED or NEW as long as it's not faulty. Please pardon me if it's irrelevant to this thread and do direct me to the right thread for this.
