Dear P4 bros,
i just purchase an HIS X1300 pro 256mb/128bits for my little 4yo rig. I;m on P4P800 but it seem that i get out of sync a.k.a black screen when i boot up. Is the mobo not suit with the card? I saw someone with same spec in this v1 thread too.
Hope those with experience can help a bit. ^^

Then reinstall them to let the driver detect your monitor refresh rate. good luck.

@TakeshirO What type of monitor are u using atm? Well, got this kind of problem before where the source of the problem were the refresh rate as what edmin has pointed out. Uninstall the driver at safe mode and try to obtained an older version of driver.

@TakeshirO Yea. Its like after the windows is finish loaded but yet get into welcome screen right? High chance is caused by the refresh rate.

i assumed that you set high resolution + incompatible refresh rates after you got the card , making it like this
do as per above

well that's the last resort if really cant get things right. my uncle formats his pc everytime he changes hardware, espcially those that require driver installation etc.. he doesnt change hardware frequently, so it's pretty ok. this is to avoid any driver conflict or problems i guess.

Haha.. Well.. CRT user need to be caution whenever comes to display card driver. Nowadays those driver are not so friendly to CRT monitor already as the refreshing rate were slightly draw higher, it might cause problem of monitor blank out after new driver is in. P/s: Just got myself a DFI Infinity P965-S Dark mobo for RM200 as backup board. Going to sent my DS3R out for RMA due lan port been strike by thunder. @ravewar Ya LCD cannot do 1024*768 res? That quite strange. What ur LCD refresh rate? Mine can either do 60hz / 75hz.
@bai1101 Haha.. Make an image for ur system. Next time just recover back will do, dun nid to reformat.

Can norton ghost support RAID recovery? AFAIK, acronis can. But ain't sure about norton.

what do u mean by RAID recovery?
two hard disks (on raid) which was logically recognized as 1, being imaged by acronis ?
