lolz..actually done nothing much since i reformatted it few days ago. just installed some games on it since i just upgraded the gc. later gonna try install the new PES2009 demo

same same here, if price is right might get one, so can take around to use for assignments etc..

hp mininote is quite nice also IMO. but price is really swt la..typical hp pricing..i can almost by 2 of the cheapest eeepc already.

agree agree with your comment on hp. i really love their pavillion line of notebooks, darn sleek and sexy. but look at the spec and price..really killing..

i didn't know the cq series gonna come out..it came out shortly after i helped my dad got his presario c795. bah, if not maybe would have opted for the cq series instead.

what's the total budge tof your upgrade? if cheap then i might retire my old p4 too. but all depends on my dad

i think a 2nd hand 2600xt is quite ok..my uncle once sold it for around rm200+ only. definately much better than the 6600gt that you are using now. ati 2600xt performance should be around 8600gt performance.

fylon, finally i found a great guide to install AHCI and use SATA hdd mode without reinstalling windows. gonna try it soon

those 800s are those mentioned by edmin and kabu. either it's via 800 series chipset or those 800 in asus mobo.

cm590 also not bad. interior same like cm690. only thing different is that it has more open drive bays. and no reset button

meaning the electricty sourced to the pc is not stable?

it's either like edmin said, brownout, or your psu gonna kong. last time i also faced that problem, my hdd keep ticking, like it's going off and on. shortly after that my psu had some burning smell and the next day KO d. but that psu was chap ayam one la..

asus also got some useful features. some of their models have expressgate module, can preload linux and use skype and mozilla. very useful if you're in a hurry to use the internet
asus boards also look more classy my previous and current board, plus my bro's one, all have been asus boards
