@edmin,yup i agree. I have a plan to upgrade my sound card and speaker in some other time in future. My speaker is lame,on board sound is also lame.

Found new 6800XT 256Bits 512MB DDR2 is selling at only RM135.

Yea. Quite a nice figure for ppl that insist wanna upgrade. With that price, DDR2 can grab a 2GB module already.

@fylon,guess i'm not going to get it cause now very seldom i play games.But this Biostar is good to grab as 512bits on the memory interface. If the pipeline can unlock to 16...

So, dont upgrade. Stay at what ever u have now. Just cut down dont play too much game lo. Haha.. That what i did thou. Will just keep my current rigs un-touch, the most maybe just sold the 10th anni and get 4GB KVR.

Haha.. Man.. Don compare the old timer gears with current price. Its a big pain on ass. Still remember the old time where 9800XT just fresh from oven? Phew... 1k++ almost similar with current HD4800 or 2xxGT series. Duh..

Btw, Jcsy did u game with windows 2008? Hows the performance?

its like Vista, but much better and lighter

i havent tried heavy games such as company of heroes, crysis and all that but i think it fairs much better than vista in terms of performance and services

since 2008 allows u to choose what u wan, u dun get a whole load of junk upon installing, unlike vista

3.0ghz C Prescott Proc 800 FSB and 1 MB cache

what is the specs of an "E" processor? 800fsb + 1mb cache or clock speed of 3.2 ?

not sure leh.. i was previously using 2.4ghz C Northwood 800 FSB 512k cache

and yes, windows 2008 gives u 3 days to activate... now gotta buy license key liao

If its classified as E class means the processor is running on Prescott core. Where C class means the processor were based on Northwood. thats what im curious with ya siggy where 3.0 Prescott with C class. Hybrid ah?

Ic.. Well.. Are u using the license type? Or.. *hem* type? Downloading it now. 1Gb plus only.

mine is definitely L2 - 1024 kb cache

C is all 512 cache, which is defiinitely not mine

the other 1024 cache is 533 fsb, not like mine 800

regarding the windows 2008, i have company license for that so i can install 1 instance of it anywhere.

yup, its about 1.8 gb+

i have microsoft CD's for 32bit & 64bit 2008 but im using 32 bit one..
