Hi! got my GF a black e66 piece yesterday. she's very into GPS since she saw me using it all the time on my ASUS.

We had Garmin installed (paid 80bucks!!!) but cannot get it to work. Help required here. Please...

it always sez cannot connect "garmin device only"... kinda thing... and there's only a "pair device", cannot access internal. Help.

wad ya mean by paid "80 bucks"? I thought the Garmin software is free to install but only works with Garmin bluetooth gps receiver. Though ther's some instruction on the Net on how to make it work with Internal GPS..but I cant post any WareZ here coz its banned

we were told to pay 80. i remember asus was free thou.

guys, i think i had settle my phone problem. Guess what's the stupid problem...

Caused by corrupted software/applications installed in memory card! I had default installed 4 games by supplier when getting the 4gb sandisk microsd but after few days bought it i found that all the games are disappeared under the folder INSTALLATIONS, but i didn't beware of this. Until few days ago i look into my whole phone applications carefully only i found that the games are gone but the APP MANAGER is still showing their present, but fail to remove! I tried to format my memory card and till now the phone is working fine after 5 days.

For my conclusion, the call log problem/phone book call problem is due to software faults!

haha u actually paid 80 bucks? and they din even *ahem* it? was it a shop at lowyat? coz a seller tried to sell me that too, i was like wtf, i can lookup this software on the net for christ's sake... and one of the forumer here helped me out

dats the problem. i used to enjoy Imbi plaza. then there was Low Yat. Imbi soon died, leaving Low Yat to monopoly. kinda had to grew up with it...
Low Yat then gets a lot of LowYaLty from us all until the sellers dark side starts surfacing. now they have all perfected the art of deceit.
U can get cheated on everything! Especially on cheap bargains.
What i cannot take the most is the attitude of the seller there! Snobbish and Arrogant!
They really put us end users lower than their shoe. Just want money!

Does anyone of you have this kind of problem where we can't unlock the keypad when we push up the slider? Mine seems sometime cant unlock. I need to close it then it will display keypad locked and push up again then only works. It happens when I put the phone on standby for couple of hours.

Nope. Probably your phone problem I guess.

Question: If I'm to transfer images from my PC to my E66, how do I organize them in photo album? Instead of marking 1 by 1, make new folder, and move the marked ones into the new folder and rename it (all these done on the phone manually), is there anyway to just directly move a folder of photos into the E66 and it stays organized and listed?

This is because I tried moving a whole photo folder (400+ pics) into the E66's memory card under Images, the photos ended up scattering all in the Image folder when I access my E66. ehhhhhhhhhhhhh

thanks for sharing..most of the phone probs are caused by software i guess..mine is now in clinic due to an email software called Profimail, corrupts my connection settings. Now have to stay in clinic for "emergency operation"...sigh Guys, pls be very careful while installing software..onli install those that you need and are safe

Added on October 23, 2008, 9:22 amI've totally banned Low Yat and Sg Wang..u'r the 3rd E66 user I've known which kena conned there..damm. Actually there's other places where you can get great bargain + friendly seller such as PJ Digital Mall, Sunway Pyramid and Subang Parade.

Added on October 23, 2008, 9:27 amI think both have their pros and cons..I personally preferred the UI of Nokia Maps..very very nice ..while Garmin's Malsing map are more interesting as they have more POIs compared to Nokia's. I'd use Nokia Maps to search for addresses (reali powerful) but too bad its only a 3-month free trial..sigh.

are u actually referring to the Gallery? One of the drawbacks of S60 is the Gallery..the only option is to use a 3rd party photo app such as the one I've recommended on main page

Does the Nokia Maps need to do a map search via 3G or GPRS when u key in the address? Is there any localised map on that software? I tried it but it seems to be accessing the map somewhere via my 3G connection

The nokia maps we have comes pre-installed with Malaysia map. The onli time whn it's accessing 3G or GPRS is when using A-GPS for faster locktime, not the map. You can go to Nokia's website to download the maps and load it in your phone if u want

yeah u cant really condemn them on the price, coz they have sales target, stall/shop rental, and ready stock(ready to lose $$ when new cost dropped) , yet u can complain they attitude

selling hp via forum is just some extra income. even earning RM5, sometime sellers will sell it.
