as long ur device got built in gps,u cn use garmin xt lol...

my current location is in sarawak. can i use garmin to find west malaysia location? let say a shop? or a street?

how to find?

Not all with build in gps can use garmin XT. Like SE u cant use it

actually, i already check it at garmin, it appears like this,

Garmin Mobile XT for Windows Mobile software version 5.00.20w as of September 25, 2008 "

my T3G now using the Windows Mobile 6.1..

any opinion?

aremien, your's is not Symbian or handphone related..more on PDA. There is an existing GPS thread in PDA sub-forum. Try continue from there. The GPS thread here is more dedicated to Symbian & not Window mobile.

On your query, u can check those garmin stalls in any digital malls such as Lowyat, S14 Digital mall, IOI Mall digital mall & 19th digital mall at USJ

I've recently installed Garmin in My N78,everything loads and works perfectly except few hiccups.

1) Not able to view detail map like housing estate,shops or companies from map.
2)No able to perform search using address.

Do someone know how to make both issue works in garmin.Please advise

Malfreemaps/malsingmaps are mapping communities offering free to load maps BUT based on Garmin platform Only (Malsingmaps able to provide maps in mapking platform too)

Tom-Tom is another maps platform something similar to Garmin, Mapking, Route66, papago, IGO, Magellan & etc...Too bad there are no mapping communities for Tom-tom in M'sia or Tom-tom is a very protective software that do not allowed personal mapping & availabilities of mapping tools as what Garmin software able to offer & thus no such Tom-tom comunities in Malaysia as malsing/malfreemaps that taken the opportunity of the availability of mapping tools worldwide

im Omnia user, recently installed Garmin and got the Malaysia map.

but when i start Garmin, the signal bar is empty, totally no signal, can i know wat went wrong?

the com port and all tat i set correct, Com 3, then Com 9, Baud rate 4800.

can anyone guide me? sorry for the trouble and thanks for the assistance.


but just now tried sth, i changed to COM 8, then the signal bar changed to searching logo, it is searching, but waited very long also no news.

i have downloaded Xtra.

Those setting of com port is not applicable if u are using Garmin MXT unless u are using the older Garmin Que?? Anyway continue your query there...and ask Deani77 as he is the expert in PDA GPSr

After Setting, General is the first tab.
Cannot be your N82 has no General tab.
