buy original = RM 175 from digital mall.
map can be free if u use from malfree or malsing.

when u purchase the original, they will install it for u. ori pack comes with a micro sd card.

ok guys, need help. I owned a N78. I've got malsing maps installed in my garmin mobile, now I've recently downloaded an *.img map of another country, I want to installed that *.img file into my garmin but, whenever I copy that file over to the garmin folder in my phone, and turn on the garmin, it will always tell me to have an unlock code for that particular map.

So, guys, how do I get the unlock code for it? or rather how to I actually load it into the garmin properly? cuz, it might be that I've loaded the file incorrectly?

Well that img map is not free, you need to pay to use that map, however malsing and malfree map is free of charge.

I dont think u will need that *.img file for other country, just delete it.


If not mistaken it has Nokia Maps, but u can install Garmin if you want, just buy external GPS receiver like Holux and u are ready to go.


for 5800xm, if not mistaken Garmin has not released any version for this particular phone yet because the screensize is relatively big, well u can use s60v3 because 5800xm has backward compatibility. Just that the screen is smaller and at the mean time wait for Garmin to release a new version which support 5800xm completely (5800xm user please correct me if i am wrong).

Please read the first page, I already explain the whole thing, GPS is free for life. Just that the Navigational software is not free. Eg Mapking, Garmin, Nokia Map need to be bought in order to use it to navigate from a place to another. Garmin is more popular due to the constantly updated Malsing and Malfree map.

external receiver everywhere also sell . digital mall got at least 4 stalls selling. even main entrance got shop selling.
as for installation, when u purchase the unit, they'll install it for u and u can request em to teach u in case u flash your phone's firmware again.

@yeeloon85 - RM 175 is from digital mall price. original comes with 1 pack of microsd 1gb with garmin software. u buy original sure la come with license. if buy from garmin website i think is USD 199.
i cant say if u can use to navigate whole life, but i can assure u, it'll be very very long time. the rest u refer to chicaman's post. its as what he sez.

Anyway, just found out another problem too. Well, here's the problem, every time I turn on my Garmin Mobile XT(5.00.20s60.9), it will for some reason sync my phone clock with the actual time?? and it will also send out a little bit of packet data, about 3kb or so and it will use my 3g connection to do so. I just found out this morning and I suspect that its already eaten a lot of my data charges from me....
I've already turn off the "garmin online access". So what's sending out and receiving data? anyone have any idea?

If AGPS is set to OFF, then don't know what is sending out and receiving data.

i suggest if possible avoid digital mall because their price most of the shop are overprice.
