Wait until end of this month to see the price first. If its really drop to USD64 then i'm gonna grab it. The performance not bad for average user..like me..

18 January will drop price from 84usd to 64usd, but current USD at 3.6, if you using 3.3 rate, then it will be RM210 for 18 January only.

Yeah, I had read that a few Intel models drop price on 18 Jan 09. E 5200 drops from usd84 to usd 76, not usd 74 bro.

Stock cooler + stock voltage 1.175V bios gives 3.125 Ghz fsb 250.Stable.

Stock cooler + 1.2875 V bios gives 3.475 Ghz at fsb 278.....Idle 42C, Orthos 24 hrs stable max 70C.

Multi = 12.5 x

Gonna to replace stock cooler and oc to 4Ghz??? Can I make it ?..hehehe...

Cheapoo Kingston Value ram 667Mhz 1 GB x 2.
Fsb/ram ratio at 2:3 -->834Mhz at V dimm on auto. Unstable when exceeds ram 866Mhz with ratio 3:5 fsb/ram.

Asus P5QL Pro P43 chipset , and Gigabyte 8600GT gc.

Silverstone Strident 56 F at 560W. Psu kind of oversize for this setup. whistling.gif

I can't reboot at Fsb 280 , even tho multi lowers to 10x or 8x.

Play around with NB, sb and termination voltage by going to max, doesn't help either.

Any idea where I go wrong?? Now stuck at fsb 278 x 12.5. I t is not temperature issue I suppose.

Try lower down your motherboard's chipset multiplier.
*
I did that with 10x; 8x; 11x etc.

NB voltage max to 1.4V

Sb max to 1.7V;

Termination voltage something max to 1.4V,

fsb/ram ratio adjusted to 1:1

Ram timings 6;6 :6: 18 etc

All no go , don't know why?

Anyway newbie 1st oc here.

Can you give me your motherboard model please?

My mobo is Asus P5QL Pro P43 chipset.

I googled this mobo/P43 chipset can touch fsb 400.

Whereas E 5200 can go for 330 to 350 Mhz agak agak, of course with lower multi. biggrin.gif
