I can't reboot at Fsb 280 , even tho multi lowers to 10x or 8x.

Play around with NB, sb and termination voltage by going to max, doesn't help either.

Any idea where I go wrong?? Now stuck at fsb 278 x 12.5. I t is not temperature issue I suppose.

try to adjust the divider to 1:1 ,i guess ur ram make u cant reboot hmm.gif

Have you tried pushing your E2160 further? unsure.gif
*
Fsb max at 295 on my MSI945GC , Bsel'ed , cannot go more than that , my fren's can go untill 3.0 on his ECS 945GC, but that is e2180 bsel'ed. i think my e2160 is a bad one ,coz even i put it on P35, it also cant go more than 2.7Ghz sweat.gif

I have a spare low end Gigabyte G31 mobo sitting around the house so I thought to go hardcore with it. This is the 3DMark06 results.

[attachmentid=887303]

The score is only brought down by the slow 9600GT. E5200 is chilled by Cooler Master GeminII S. Load temp at 61°C after a session of GTA IV.

wah , impressive clock u have there drool.gif Mind to put more detail such as cpuz ? wan to see ur vcore

Want to ask with no overclock whatsoever, is the e5200 a good enuff proc for light gaming?
*
Light gaming such as Dota , Counter strike , common online game can be run perfectly with E5200 biggrin.gif dun forget u oso require a decent graphic card. I run these game perfectly with jus onboard intel X3100 . biggrin.gif
** on a 17inch CRT sweat.gif

Perhaps you should try Crysis Warhead, even my setup tune at gamers and 1920*1080, there is still some part it stutter albeit.

But this E5200 ain't a true dual core as its only using Hyper Threading which was first produce for Intel P4 3GHZ socket 478 HT. Which is the best processor during the era of socket 478.
*
E5200 is true Duo core bro , not Hyper threading

only different L2 Cache?
*

seriously, since E2140 and even celeron E1400, it's ain't using hyper threading technology, it's dual core proc icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Since Pentium D 8xx generasion oredi using true Duo core, jus pentium D EE edition with HT ,resulted in 4 core.

I have OC my E5200 G31M-ES2L to 3.2ghz (266x12)..
I have mushkin RAM DDR2 800, the multiplier i set to 3.33 --> 3.33 x 266 = 889..
i set vcore to AUTO (in Cpu-Z it show 1.344 - 1.360) and the temp. 40c (idle) - 55c (load)..
the Rated FSB in cpu-Z is at 1064 mhz..
but i don't think there's any improvement compare to stock speed..
how did i know?
i convert a video using stock speed for ~40 minutes and using 3.2ghz also ~40 minutes using same settings..
any opinion?
thanks

Run Super Pi and u will know the improvement biggrin.gif google for it biggrin.gif
