1 more good point tat e5200 have is....its only got 2mb cache compare to e8 with 6cache...tats make it run cooler than e8....

Actually, E5200 OC perform on par with E8400 if we eliminate the cache thingy...

hey Shah_15, u using e5200 with the gigabyte g31 motherboard, did u need to flash the bios to the latest version???

no matter how u oc..u still cant get the fsb high...it wont be on par..nvr...how can a 4ghz 1280fsb and 4ghz 1777fsb challenge?

Can always use the pin mod method for automatic higher FSB. biggrin.gif

thats the thg i would like to say..u put up the word oc...so its like two model oc...

well..assume...u were saying stock...e8 series would nvr be e8 IF u eliminate the cache...but seriously, i guess it would be unfair for u to leave out the cache...

i tink normal value ram will do the job if 4000 is 320*12.5..but now depending on the chip

yeah but my mobo only allow 12x multiplier..

Of course it perform well with no OC...right now i just use stock clock but OC-ed the ram a little....

well...2mb cache and 800fsb juz same like like e4XXX series...juz wif 45nm processing...if given a choice for choosing retail or oem proc, i would really go to e6600 oem...
