i have a problem when try to unlock/jailbreak my iphone 2g..already follow the tutorial given..and got the successful enter DFU mode..when i try to relaunch itunes..error msg appear..the itunes also cant detect the iphone..

how to solve this problem?

Still no software to unlock the latest firmware for Iphone3g?
only turbo sim can solve it??

Lastly, do u guyz think that maxis centre will help us to unlock our iphone3g? =)

I don't know the answer to the first question but I'm quite sure Maxis will not help U in unlocking your phones smile.gif - at least not officially smile.gif

There's no software unlock for LOCKED 3G with Fw 2.2.1 iPhones as of yet.

Maxis will not be able to unlock the phone for you as they are not authorise to.

Hey guys, i think i somehow brick my phone... last time i played with ssh and it got screwed up, so i restore it... and used apt back up to restore my cydia files... but now my iphone is stuck at the apple logo... what went wrong? what should i do now?

nahhh, take a chill pill. it does take some talent & luck to actually brick an iPhone.

does your the white apple logo (located at the middle) goes off and on after a few minutes? if it does, it means that your iPhone is in a "loop".

there is nothing much that you can do, apart from restoring it again.

to overcome this obstacle, simply follow this sequence.

Can I upgrade it from 1.1.3 straight away to 2.2.1 or I need to upgrade from 1.1.4 ?

theoretically, u can upgrade ur Firmware frm 1.1.4 to 2.2.1 straight away, i assume u are using iphone 2g right? try this guide

i got one question...will this maxis iphone warranty void if we jailbreak it?? need a very sure/confirm answer ^^....i heard from my friend who working with maxis said it will void..but i don't wan get bluff from him...

Yes it will void your warranty if you bring back to them with a Jailbreak iPhone. The only solution is to do an Erase All Content and Settings and restore to default settings before sending back.
