got 2 possibilities
1) slide ON for CALLER ID @ Setting > Phone > SHow My Caller ID
2) While u JB the process got something wrong looks like u SUCCESSFULLY JB but is NOT [u need to JB again] <---- which happen to me before..

tried both but still not working....tried with simcard inserted and no simcard, still no changes..

already JB for seventh times, using quickpwn, winpwn, ziphone....

anyone..plz??

Just do a restore to the default Fw 2.2 firmware to have your phone functioning again.

Are you 100% sure your maxis simcard is not blocked by Maxis?
Have you tried using another simcard?

hmm winpwn and ziphone? which firmware ure going for?
i do suggest u do like what david says or get hanxz to settle your issues
like david said..restore it via itunes (shift click restore not upgrade) then once its fully restore use quickpwn to unlocked it

by the way were your baseband upgraded too? what did bootneuter says when the 1st time you pwn it? could be baseband file corrupted..is your wifi ok? jes checking possibilities here

hi guys, kinda noob in updating firmware here....wanna ask few questions..

1) is it necessary to update my firmware to 2.2 coz im still in 1.2 now...whats the difference and do i need to jailbreak and unlock it again
2) how cydia differ from installer coz now my phone(jailbroken) is still using the installer but the number of apps seems to be almost the same everytime i refresh..need to add more source mayb??

Do you owned an official unlocked phone or locked ones?
If you are locked set with turbosim solution, better upgrade to FW 2.2 and JB again.

You can add more repo for cydia to get more apps.

Since you're on Fw 1.2, you can upgrade your 2G firmware to Fw 2.2. Fw 2.2 has gotten much better with AppStore like games and tons of applications. Do follow the guide on first post to unlock your 2G iPhone.

As for the Installer, it's pretty dead right now on Fw 1.2. With the new Cydia on Fw 2.2, is really much better than the old installer or even the new Installer 4.

I highly recommend you upgrade your firmware.

Choose Cydia and Installer
dun have to choose the replace boot logo
if ur phone is officially unlocked, then dun have to choose unlock

I finally jumped on the wagon of firmware 2.2. It's snappier in launching apps and switch between pages.

I like the new Home button feature which brings you back to the first page, it's useful if you have lots of apps.

URGENT!! to all the sifus here!

I just updated my 2G from 2.1 to 2.2FW using QuickPwn. Did exactly as mentioned.

but now, my iphone is stucked in the booting screen, blank with a silvery apple.

Did I miss something?

Got question bout fw 2.2......

i am using 2g iphone 2.1 fw. i downloaded pwnage tool 2.2 and iPhone1,1_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw.

Everytime i use pwnageTool it keep saying i have wrong fw bundle.Anyone has ideas? i had downloaded 3 ipsw from 3 different sources.Still the same. Had no problem jailbreak since 1.1.4.
