Just some info to take notice: iPhone Safe Mode

Taken from the net.

Today I was installing a few things through Cydia and all of a sudden my iPhone restarted. That in itself is not too weird but when my iPhone rebooted it booted into “Safe Mode.” I had never seen this before. I got a pop-up warning that said,

Mobile Substrate Safe Mode. We apologize for the inconvenience, but SpringBoard has just crashed. A recent software installation, upgrade, or removal might have been the cause of this. Your device is now running in Safe Mode. All extensions that support this safety system are disabled. Reboot (or restart SpringBoard) to return to normal mode.”

Is this a part of 2.0? Looks just like when a Mac needs to reboot. tongue.gif

davidgary73, you miss out another one from the quote:

QUOTE
-2G (first gen) iPhone users who cannot wait for the new PwnageTool or QuickPwn can safely “Update” to 2.2 using iTunes, this will preserve the existing activation. However “restoring” to 2.2 using iTunes will return the iPhone to the unactivated state. If you are in any doubt just wait. NB: This works for 2G ONLY.

I finally jumped on the wagon of firmware 2.2. It's snappier in launching apps and switch between pages.

I like the new Home button feature which brings you back to the first page, it's useful if you have lots of apps.

Yes, unless you live in United States and use AT&T SIM card.
