I'm using CQ40-133AX.
I just upgrade to 800Mhz 2Gb x 2.
Why am I getting blue screen?
Is it compatible?
It was running fine before the upgrade.

Anyone here already updated their BIOS to F.24?

If yes,
I want you to shutdown the notebook while on battery.
See if the notebook shutdown completely or restart itself again.

I noticed that my notebook will restart again even though i select shutdown in Vista.
This will not happen if it's connected and charged by the AC.

i just got my compaq presario cq20-214tu.
The laptop come with orginal vista home premium, but i would like to install xp on another partition(running dual boot).
However, the hdd only has 2 partition. 1 drive for vista and another is recovery drive(which can't touch on it).
Can i format the hdd and create partition while installing windows? I m just wondering if i format the hdd, can i activate back my original vista.
Does any1 has any idea on this?

thx in million..

I've formatted my friend's lappy last night. She said that she never knew of any CD provided with the lappy when I asked about the Driver CD. Is it true that HP doesn't provide the CD? BTW, the lappy is CQ50-104AU.

i think so because HP has its own recovery system, just press f11 while you on your notebook then you are on the way to format the notebook back to the original factory settings (just knew that few days ago)

CQ40 comes with 2 different IGP, one is HD3200 and other is GMA4500MHD

which one is better actually? (despite the fact that Intel C2D is better than the Turion X2 whistling.gif)

Can HD3200 supports blu-ray or other HD playback, without using the CPU ?

between the AMD, C2D, Centrino, which one delivers longest battery life? unsure.gif

I don't understand. How to do that? When to press F11? By doing so no driver installer is needed?

Actually Ive successfully installed all the drivers. But it was really tiring to look for all of them. And there are several installer that can't detect hardware. Had to do it manually through device manager. Spent all night for drivers sweat.gif sweat.gif
