hello guys, i'm currently using this brand new CQ40-115AU. Got it from PC fair at RM1699 about a week ago. Everything seems fine but hey the battery life drains that fast?

With medium screen brightness, and on power saver plan, the battery stands for only near 2 and a quarter hour?! And heck i was only doing normal web browsing on LAN without any music player playing.

am i asking too much for this budget laptop or something is wrong with my battery? thanks in advance

new battery need few full charges to gain the good performance, btw its normal for amd cpu 2 hours +

yep done a few full charges edy. i see.. what about intel's processor? i always have this mindset that AMD processors have lower power consumption

duo core, easily beat the 2.5 hours

yes AMD new cpu did improve on the power consumption part but still unable to catch up intel

are those xp drivers in the first page applicable for cq40-154TU - Intel chipset?

ive bought cq40-126au last week... while installing vista, there exist 1 partition of hdd about 5gb...
after installing vista, i tried to format the partition, but failed...
anyone can explain wut is this partition n wuts its function?

ur 126au comes with windows rite? thats what they call EISA drive or something like tat......
it contain all ur windows setup file/driver and etc for ur window recovery la bro.... u can delete it wit some tricks but....if u delete ady u can't recover ur lappy if u wanna format it or restore it... unless u make a backup recovery disk .

guys know anyone/shop selling cq20-125tu?

don't seem to available anymore...took me ages to find one..now 213tu is available

one week after i bought mine, they say no more 125TU.

my fren juz got her new cq20-213tu, preinstalled with vista ahem..yet she thought it is kinda slow for her..i suggest 4 her 2 change into xp..bt still i wondering about the driver for dis laptop..told her already bout adding 1gb ram to her original 1gb and continue using vista, but its not an option for her rite now..so anyone can help with the driver?

I tell ya. 2gb ram can run Vista smoothly.

If 4gb it will be working great!

XP u gotta go through all hassles finding the drivers.

But whatever driver applicable for Vista, can be used at XP too (90% chance).

stuck at "Completing Installation"
why arr???? wait untill 1hour, but still at "completing installation"
is my DVD Win Vista corrupt or laptop problem???
or i just need to wait until it complete????
coz before this, i can complete install this vista to my other laptop less than 1hour...
but with this compaq, 1hour still cannot complete...
