lee and guys, wanna share something here

vista basic disk shrinking feature in disk management is cool for a client OS rclxms.gif

by using this, the repartitioning problem of recovery disc/partition is easily solved

check the attachment, hope this is helpful

+ add: for NTFS only...

Where's "disk shrinking feature in disk management" function located in Vista?

Computer > Manage > Continue[Admin] > Storage > Disk Management
i manage to 'cut' nearly 110GB out from the recovered partition smile.gif

ya, 800=PC6400

for my case, the original 1GB ProMOS RAM is removed, and 2GB kingston is added
3GB (1GB ProMOS + 2GB kingston) is slower than 2GB kingston alone
maybe 2 different barnd 'fight' with each other, or 2 slots is 'hot' cool2.gif

@trustgtr:

oh... i never thought of using Auto-wax to polish laptop surface! should try later lolz
@coolkidz:

All 14.1" laptop are at same weight. Regardless brand, that's ~2.4kg.

I only not satisfied on the heat generated on left palm rest area + gloosy easily-get-scratch front panel.

Vista is excellent la... why dont give a try? equipped with 4gb RAM, run everything smoothly. Visual effect is awesome too!

ya, clasic problem,
anyway, did you remove the red ads sticker on the left palm rest area?

Hey guys, anyone know if there is a higher capacity battery pack for CQ-45, please let me know...

3 years old asus 6-cell batt can last even longer
cq45 batt lasts about 2h 30min only, using office application and moderate power settings. hp offers 4-cell batt har? hmm.gif

hi guys! recently i bought a cq60(don't think its out in market yet, employee purchase) that came with freedos. i wanted to install xp professional on it. when i pop in the disc and selected to boot from disc, the screen went blank for like 5 minutes then BSOD.

0xF78DE524,0xC0000034,0x0000000, 0x0000000

^ this came out.

Help? strange thing is when i pop in vista home basic installation dvd the setup immediately started.

Am i stuck with vista? but i seriously prefer xp pro though.
*
did you mean boot menu is gone? according to article, default vista boot manager should be able to detect xp
but u may try EasyBCD after home basic installation http://www.download.com/EasyBCD/3000-2094_...cdlPid=10780572

RAM upgrade of course possible... but only DDR2 1066. DDR3 Ram is not compatible.

Yes all CQ series come with Wifi B/G/N.
