@leechfever - running fan speed @50% all the time might shorten the life span of the bearing... but u dont have to worry bout that ;D

i dun think it would be a good choice, but since you will get a new one later, then just buy it.

I mean by the time the fan wears out it will be like 5 years already. By then would be a good time to get another one.

Depends on the bios. Gainward for example runs at minimum of 50% fan speed for the Golden Sample. Asus probably left the default min speed at 6% which is the same as reference cards.

Ever wonder why if setting it up to 50% is better, why don't they just default it? I mean for (rich)beginner they might not know this at all and blow their money on coolant that does as good as 50% fan speed config.

Wore out Ball bearing maybe but that just short live their warranty. Not good for business. Possible the noise? How much noise?

i have HIS HD4870 1Gb...set the fan at 50c...it's really loud...but after a while, the noise just fade into the background...my ear somehow already 'immune' to that sound tongue.gif ...the temp is around 50c on hot day idle...playing game around 57c...load would be somewhere 62c...ok ka?
