i got graphics corruption when i play far cry 2 with the hotfix driver wth ati driver team is doing

i benched with my q6600 running @ 3.41ghz and both of my 4850 @ 675/2000
and this is the settings i used:

Demo(Ranch Small), 1680x1050 (60Hz), D3D9, Fixed Time Step(No), Disable Artificial Intelligence(No), Full Screen, Anti-Aliasing(None), VSync(No), Overall Quality(Very High), Vegetation(Very High), Shading(Very High), Terrain(Very High), Geometry(Very High), Post FX(High), Texture(Very High), Shadow(Very High), Ambient(High), Hdr(Yes), Bloom(Yes), Fire(Very High), Physics(High), RealTrees(Very High)

btw this is the benchmark result for the hotfix driver


while this is the result for cat 8.10


from the result, u can see that the new hotfix driver although gives a lower max fps but gives a more stable frame rate compared to the catalyst 8.10, the only downside is that there is a severe graphics corruptions

So many ppl complain about Farcry2 hotfix!!?? I think I'll pass the hotfix.

if u wanna run @ dat voltage 24/7, just create a ATI tray tools profile & load dat @ startup.
i heard the latest hotfix fixed dat IQ glitches.......................any1 actually try it yet?

to all sifoo's here, why after i oc usin CCC Auto-Tune when i open ATITool for artifact scanning my oc clock turn back to default (650mhz)? haiyo dunno wat happen la can any1 help me pls

Close CCC.exe in Task Manager then OC via ATI Tools.

Oh, could it be they (ATI) purposely render less texture detail to make the game faster to prove DX10.1 is faster?

i dun think game's patch needs you to play from start , can play from ur save file..

If you look closely, those textures look transparent. It's more like they over-applied their optimisation instead of hiding details.

or maybe they hide the details to obtain higher framrate?
either way check back my benchies for farcry 2 for the hotfix driver and the cat 8.10..
tho i cant play the game using the hotfix because of severe artifacts
guess im the unlucky one huh better to wait cat 8.11 instead
