tanks for the tip bro, so i gues i will just buy a 2gb 800mhz ram and use with the existing 1gb ram. i'm planning to use 64bit, so anyway i can only utelize 3gigs.

Wow! That is hot! My Acer 4520 is only around 76 Degree Celsius when doing video encoding (100% CPU Utilization all the time) running non stop for more than 24 hours with that kind of 100% load.

I have to admit the cooling design for this model is poor especially for a laptop with dedicated GPU. The Turion is already hot and with Radeon GPU, the heat is max. The is no proper ventilation for air intake. Only blow out. Normal laptop cooler which blows air under the casing doesnt work well with this model because of no ventilation holes at the bottom unless you open up all the covers.

In terms of free memory under 32bit OS, no difference cos max RAM usable in 32bit mode is exactly 3GB. In terms of responsiveness, expect the system to be a bit snappier although in real life it will be hard to notice because the slowest component is HDD, not RAM.

I do not meant amount of memory....what i meant was Speeeeedd...667 vs 800 on a Turion X2 RM-70 (Griffitn)

Im asking this because where ever AMD Turion is concern, people would say, "DDR2 800 will be better for the AMD" but why??? hmm.gif

er, it's a common rule. normally higher clock = faster speed.

since 780G support 800mhz, its a waste if one opted for 667mhz.

IMO, that phrase you quoted weren't even legit.
