QUOTE(SirReal @ Oct 31 2008, 03:18 PM) not sure about that...I asked but they said it won't be free... maybe depends on your bargaining power? My friend in Dell said that customers can bargain...not sure if it's the same with compaq tho. Wow!!! Looks tempting...but issit upgrade to 2gb or add another 2gb worth of memory (making it 3gb in total)...??When I called Compuzone they said they'll upgrade to 2gb 800mhx ram FOC John From AOne Plus state RM 2099 with mouse , headset , lock , cooler pad , 2gb pendrive... Which is the better offer???hmmmmm |

QUOTE(shady @ Nov 27 2008, 05:35 PM) I have to admit the cooling design for this model is poor especially for a laptop with dedicated GPU. The Turion is already hot and with Radeon GPU, the heat is max. The is no proper ventilation for air intake. Only blow out. Normal laptop cooler which blows air under the casing doesnt work well with this model because of no ventilation holes at the bottom unless you open up all the covers. I do not meant amount of memory....what i meant was Speeeeedd...667 vs 800 on a Turion X2 RM-70 (Griffitn)In terms of free memory under 32bit OS, no difference cos max RAM usable in 32bit mode is exactly 3GB. In terms of responsiveness, expect the system to be a bit snappier although in real life it will be hard to notice because the slowest component is HDD, not RAM. Im asking this because where ever AMD Turion is concern, people would say, "DDR2 800 will be better for the AMD" but why??? |

QUOTE(cracksys @ Nov 27 2008, 11:08 PM) er, it's a common rule. normally higher clock = faster speed. Support 800mhz ram and runs at 800mhzsince 780G support 800mhz, its a waste if one opted for 667mhz. IMO, that phrase you quoted weren't even legit. Or Support 800mhz ram but runs at 667,mhz oso? it is like having a 865 chipset which supports DDR 400 but you Proc is only a 2.4Ghz running at 533mhz and not maximisng DDR400 because it runs at below speed???..... |

QUOTE(cracksys @ Nov 29 2008, 12:15 AM) ah, that thing. different abbreviation, no wonder i haven't heard of it. So u mean if i stuck a brand new 800mhz ram into my lappie the proc will run at 800mhz bus speed or whatever term AMD uses?????almost all of the newer intel processor able to fully utilized DDR2 800mhz thanks to their higher FSB, so UMC factor doesn't fit in (unless you're talking about Pentium D). RM-70 support HT2.0 so.. 667mhz will run at 667mhz 800mhz will run at 800mhz 1066mhz will only run at 1000mhz » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Gee thanks...maybe drop by lyp tomorow and get me a twin packs of 800mhz... |
