QUOTE(antonio @ Nov 27 2008, 04:47 PM) Juz wondering.... Is there any significant gains if I change my current rams which is 3Gb 667 to 4Gb 800??.... I'm using CQ50 with RM-70 cpu.... On the down side, it will eat a little more juice from you battery i suppose. This post has been edited by Spade: Nov 27 2008, 11:28 PM

Ohh damn, this lappy never disappoint me : ) Tested COD5 : World At War System setting: Screenshots : My Comment: Even though the setting is very low, but the screen is only 14.1 inch, so the image is quite sharp and almost no lag at all. Quite good for below Rm 2100 lappy. p/s. to shady : maybe we should make a list of latest playable game for this lappy at first page lol This post has been edited by sclikzs: Nov 28 2008, 05:49 AM

QUOTE(cracksys @ Nov 27 2008, 11:08 PM) er, it's a common rule. normally higher clock = faster speed. since 780G support 800mhz, its a waste if one opted for 667mhz. IMO, that phrase you quoted weren't even legit. Support 800mhz ram and runs at 800mhz Or Support 800mhz ram but runs at 667,mhz oso? it is like having a 865 chipset which supports DDR 400 but you Proc is only a 2.4Ghz running at 533mhz and not maximisng DDR400 because it runs at below speed???.....

I noticed that there is a latest ATI Catalyst 8.11 graphic driver. Has anyone tried it? Any differences compared to the one pre-installed in CQ40-126AX?

Performance wise, wont be much boost. Maybe 5%. There are some bug fixes which are useful if you play latest games. Catalyst 8.12 will include Stream but that supports HD 4xxx series for video encoding. It is advisable to install the latest driver. You need to use driverheaven.net Mobility Modder though.

Yeah , you'll have to use Mobility Modder to modify it , the stock drivers that came along with COMPAQ is old. Better get the latest tone if you're up to gaming !

Only Nehalem and its derivatives will have it. I really think you need to do some serious reading.

I really think you need to do some serious reading. you seriously need to re-read my post. i said .. almost all of the newer intel processor [ core 2 duo, dual core, quad core] able to fully utilized DDR2 800mhz thanks to their higher FSB [ starting from 800mhz] , so UMC factor doesn't fit in [ UMC gain an upper hand only when K8 vs Netburst] (unless you're talking about Pentium D[ which suck. i add this line so that no fag come in and said "Pentium D also quite new what!"]). eekk.. duh!
