I'm also thinking of getting one CQ40-126AX. I wonder this lappie will have a sound card issue if i'm using win xp.
My previous lappie (compaq presario f731au) have a sound card issue (cannot control the volumn and cannot use mic). Is this modal also facing the same issue if using win XP? |

I just bought Compaq Presario CQ40-126AX after reading all the post and compare to Acer aspire 4530.
The shop only free me a WD external harddisc (160Gb. Some more, need to wait for 2 weeks. Hope I can get it faster.  And thank for all the information share.  |

Oh.....they cheat away my pendrive and headset.  I buy it at harvey norman....but at least i can get the external harddisc compare.  I call a several shop at lowyat, they told me there is no more offer. After reading all the threat, it's seem that adding ram is a must. Any one use dual boot system?? I thinking of install the win xp as well to play game ler.....is this advisable? |

Hi, guys
Base on the information given by this thread, the window vista home premium only can utilise maximum 3 Gb ram. And the dual channel function is still working if we use 1GB ram + 2GB ram. Is this true? or the dual channel only function at 2GB ram + 2GB ram?  |

I just discover my 126ax got very very minor odd sound.
Is this the driver problem?? any way to solve it? |

with the performance  . Currently i'm using the driver from HP website. Maybe I know the lates driver u guys using for graphic card??  |

I have 2 question: 1) May I know there have any different in performance if i'm use the graphic card driver from HP and mob version (driver heaven)? 2) Why my DVD rom cannot install game in normal window. But it can install at safe mode. any1 know why? |

I just upgrade to 3G 667Mhz ram, exp index scoring is 5.8
I try 800Mhz ram before, donno why it not compatible. Any1 know why?? May I know what is the score on Ram experience scoring... |
