So I need to apply year by year or full duration for my study?
I didn't get the full offer letter from UNSW but I can access to internet to accept online for the offer. It's mean I have get the full offer?
They will post/email the full offer letter to me?

I was told that, once you got your CoE you can apply for student visa without hesitation. And your visa will valid through out the entire course duration that you have applied.

Im taking Computer Science

o, im taking interior design course. will be at building 8.. lols.. mayb we can meet up lols...

One visa for few year.
then it should be use for long time lo(3/4 years).

ya, for me, my course is 3 yrs, they allow me to go in from the date they grant me visa until march 2012. Which gave me 3mths of allowance after my course end. which I think is good...lols...

Once they send you the CoE(Confirmation of Enrolment),you can apply for visa already.Do the medical checkup,renew your passport and just apply online.

It's just simple.Please read the post properly la.I just said that the visa will cover the entire study in Australia.If you take a 4 years course,you'll get 4 years visa.

once you get COE can find job d..plus if you have visa right?

My visa is valied for 2 years tho

i also going to RMIT next month..everything done except accomodation

Student Visa's issued after 26 April 2008 have a working visa built in. You guys never read is it? If such Simple English just skips past you, what makes you think you can do academic English?

Yes, I do have a beef against universities taking in people who are ill equipped with the language. So does many Japanese universities, while I'm at it.

What? Visa gives you the rights to work because your work permit is attached to your passport (be sure to apply for a Tax File Number), doesnt have anything to do with your CoE. And validity of your visa links with your duration of studies. Mine was given 6 years.

I renewed my passport even though I still have 1.5 years left. Submit your renewal application together with your university offer letter and you only need to pay RM150 instead of RM300. Your new passport will be valid for 5 years and 6 months. Its all done within the same day infact I got it done within 2 hours.

For those whose passport are going to expire next year, it would be advisable to renew the passport now before applying for the visa as your visa is linked to the passport number when applying. Therefore if you give your passport number that is going to expire next year, you will need to inform DIAC of your new passport number when you renew it next year. Further you may have to renew it at the Malaysian High Com or Consulate in Australia and it may take a longer time for renewal.

Remember to get your tax file number as if you dont give the number to your bank,you'll get much less interest.
