QUOTE(Kwang Hui @ Oct 16 2008, 10:03 PM) I am planning to take up Construction Management ( or so called Quantity Surveying) in Australia. famous, not so sure but unimelb has better ranking and unsw is pretty popular too but more pricey, take ur pick. And i already applied for 7 universities: UNSW University of melbourne Curtin university RMIT Queensland uni of technology Deakin university University of south australia Which uni above-mentioned are famous in offering the course? Please help me to make decision. Currently, mine is 1) Unimelb 2) UNSw |

QUOTE(mrRighthand @ Oct 17 2008, 05:16 PM) i'm studying in uni of melb and i've been to UNSW in my semester break... i would say sydney is a much nicer place to stay in... i don't know much bout UNSW as i'm only there for a few hours but i'll say its much nicer than uni of melbourne IMO... For me, choosing will be influenced by the city as well. I mean like, Sydney's pretty much the most expensive place to live in! Im getting tired of paying the high rents =.=Never visited Melbourne uni before, can anyone give me a tour there? |

RMIT is literally in the middle of the city right? But the buildings are scattered around if Im not mistaken. Unimelb is old, hence RMIT is like UTS; Unimelb is like Unisyd.
Btw, is choosing a uni based from its lively-ness, is ur only concern Kwang Hui? |

dem, forgot my australian history...
The first fleet arrived in Port Stephens in 1788, led by Capt James Cook. Thats why they have this Australia Day and Aboriginals celebrate Black day on the same day. Ehem, so yeh, Sydney was found first. Wah, rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne. Sydney's pretty much the most expensive place to study in whole Australia lah. The only state that doesnt give international students concession rate on transportation, I think. Im tired of paying the full fares. This post has been edited by kamagotchi: Oct 19 2008, 03:50 PM |

QUOTE(bhypp @ Oct 19 2008, 10:21 PM) eh u sure boh.....these VIC state govt oso never giv concession1......if one day i get PR or work here i srsly wanna file tax return....more like concession return.....coz their reason behind locals getting concessions coz they are future tax payers.....knnbccb..... Overall, Melb is still cheaper than Sydney. thats pretty much like concession for me when I move there.then subsidize all the ang moh young ppl here....then when they come of age ready to work....all go middle east....so much for calling them future tax payer....paying tax to those arab sheikhs got lar.....whu cares bout ruddy 07... USFP in Taylor or UNSW .. these are the 2 colleges i knew. and 1 more macquiry , is it? but the agent told me tat this college will have less population compared to the other 2.. It was pretty easy for me, easier than SPM but I was in the Design stream. |
