latest firmware still doesnt fix cold boot up prob.
middle mouse button ( mouse button 3 ) not working

Haven't had that problem. Hell, I love my Lachesis. Fits my claw grip like a charm, and it's really ultra sensitive. Even with low-sens and lower DPI settings, it still detects even the slightest movement from me. If I have any problem with it, it would be that the cursor jitters when my DVD drive reads a disc or when I play loud, bassy songs on my speakers. Other than that, it's really been quite brilliant for me.

i've never liked the barracuda since it was announced.
but the mako is a different beast.

ppl say its expensive for a 2.1, that i guess so...but of cos if u look from an audiophile's point of view...its pretty cheap tongue.gif

i have a prob setting my mouse button 4 and 5. im playing cod 4 and would like my mouse button 4 to be my knife (melee) button and mouse button 5 to me my grenade button or reload button.

i have set the mouse buttons 4 and 5 to single key v and g but they dont work. i even tried setting under macro. i cant even use my middle mouse button to throw my grenade. how do i configure my mouse porperly?

i have set the mouse buttons 4 and 5 to single key v and g but they dont work. i even tried setting under macro. i cant even use my middle mouse button to throw my grenade. how do i configure my mouse porperly?

u dont set ur mouse buttons to the keys...it will not work in game.
same with any other game out there.

u have to set in ur COD4 config.
so when it asks wat key for knife etc, u PRESS the side button to set it.

lolz...but my friend using DA and he can set his mouse4 and 5 for grenade and melee and we usually play using GG client too...no prob...

maybe just the mouse...try other DA's?

1 question here guys, i am planning to get the Goliathus mousepad to replace my current DKT MonsterMat. Which version is the same size and surface? And is the Speed and Control version alot of difference?

What mouse are you using? Sounds irrelevant, but if you're using a DeathAdder, don't go for control. It'll scratch the mousepad. Other than that, there's quite a difference between Control and Speed. Control is rougher and gives you more feel for your mouse. Speed is like moving your mouse on air, it's really smooth. I'd imagine that the Goliathus Speed Alpha would be pretty much the same as your DKT MonsterMat.

i also replaced my monstermat with goliathus, and the goliathus is just marginally smoother than the monstermat.

I called the shop though and its said to still be under warranty and would call me back a week later. Wondering whether they sent it to ban leong or somewhere else.

I am currently on my Krait and not really thinking of changing it. But my MonsterMat is already more than 2 years old. Showing signs of wear and tear and now thinking of getting a replacement. I dont really like the ExactMat, and thats why thinking about Goliathus.

So, the Alpha version is actually the same size as the MonsterMat? If its smoother, i dont mind getting the speed version. smile.gif

Guys my Razer DB 3G that i have used about 9 months is now experiencing clicking problems.....i require to click slightly harder every time and when double clicking sometimes the click does not register.... this only apply's to the left click.Does anyone have this problem also?I think i read somwhere before that the mouse can stand about 1 million clicks....

I am an avid gamer of all genres i use the mouse average of 6-8 hours a day...im here to ask:

1.Can i DIY method to fix this matter?
2.Is my mouse elidgeble for warranty?

since its only 9 months better send back for warranty.
contact ban leong locally or like some others did razer, which would mean sending back to razer hong kong for RM40 postage tongue.gif

DIY can be done, but since u got no new button to replace...better not...cos could be the button or the contact.

Well, i would like to really try out other mat and see how it goes. LOL..ANd it seems that the Goliathus Alpha/Speed is like a good deal. But at some point, i kinda feel the MonsterMat is a tad too big. Maybe i should look at a size smaller. smile.gif

I had issues on the first day as well but after reinstalling the OS and driver, its fine. The problem i had with my Lycossa is :

- The blinking led lights issue. LEDs keep changing mode without me doing anything

- Loose USB and Sound ports. The USB port just seem abit too loose.

Well, i did check out SteelSeries but of course, i am keeping my options opened. If the Goliathus is going to be good, then i might as well jump over to it.

Or should i get the Destructor instead?

Well, regarding the Lycosa keyboard touchpanel is not working after few trials on different pc, old & new drivers, as well as Vista & XP.

I've decided to open the Lycosa case by peeling off the white plain fragile round sticker at the back of the kb. Will it void the warranty? There's no warning of "Warranty void if broken" on the sticker.

Some might not noticed the quality of the sound losses.. but i do noticed it.

Imo, the Tarantula audio connections its more for convenient sake, esp. for those headset mic users.

G9 is ok.
but if ur fingers ache, maybe the mouse is too small for u?

i know my ring finger cramps up after along time if the mouse is too small.
btw, im using boomslang now tongue.gif

for claw its ok.
remember, razer mouse buttons can detect the hit anywhere along.
logitech the button usually got sweet spot higher up, nearer the palm the button isnt sensitive anymore.

want to ask all sifu here regardding my razer copperhead is that now my mouse when i click 1 time it will become double click and difficult to drag my mouse when playing command and conquer when need to highlight multiple unit. Hi, I've been using those cheap mouse made by Microsoft and Logitech all this years and I've decided to give myself a treat and get a decent upgrade.
For those of u who have used Razer products before, can u mind to tell me the diff between a Diamonback 3D and a Copperhead?
I know a Copperhead is more expensive so it's better bla bla bla, but does it make much of a difference? hmm.gif
Especially for a guy like me who's never used 'expensive' mouse before.
Or shud i go for a cheaper alternative and juz get an MX518( sry guys i know this is a Razer thread but no harm asking hehe)?

Depends on how you hold your mouse. Do you hold your mouse with just the tips of your fingers? Or do you literally wrap your hands around the entire mouse? For the former, go for the DB3G. For the latter, the DA.

BTW, does anyone have a Powered by Razer tag to put in the sig? The small one for the forum, not the big one from the Razer Tag Generator.

Sri Computers at lowyat plaza would be a great place to try 'em out before buying

ps : but i'll avoid buying from Sri as they have horrible sales people and after sales service . so just go there to get a feel of it and buy it elsewhere tongue.gif

I live in Kuching so it can be kinda hard to find shops that sell AND let me try.
For all i know they juz display it there.
And i kinda wrap my hand around the mouse, so i guess it's the DA. Thanks for the help!

my modem RMA last time took like 2 whole months , and they couldnt be bothered to call me when it was done . also , when going to RMA it , everyone treats you like you're a dog that doesnt deserve to live

@giggsyy, try getting in contact with razer to see if they can help you out with it before you send it in for RMA then

if my deathadder fail on me, i gonna buy steelseries edi. Razer owes give double-clicking prob and it happens always after 1 year. The warranty for razer is 1 year rite?

Ok I have try to install the driver again , this time it work thx for ur advise but looks like the media key cant be use for any other media player already unless is the one listed on the Lycosa Configurator list, kinda sux, I hope razer would do something about it

On another problem, I have the Copperhead, I cant seem to install a new driver , my current driver is v6.08, firmware is v6.20. I dl the driver v6.10 from razerzone website, anyone can help me?
When I try installing the v6.10 driver later on I cant seem to detect my Copperhead after restart so in the end I have to uninstall it & install the driver from the driver CD that came with it

razerzone used to sell t-shirts and accessories like dogtag / ipod sock / wrist band / etc...but they also stop selling.

ban leong also wont sell, they want to make it exclusive gifts.

You have to buy till Rm300 I think then they'll give you. That time I wanted to buy lycosa. So that guy offer me the t-shirt if i buy now cause that time still haven't open yet. Just packing those plastic sheets. At last din buy. Now kinda regret.

umm in my xfire... [JEDI]...SG based team.
tho currently not under razer.
so when they came up last weekend for the sunway games, 2 of them using logitech mouse, kanasai ppl tongue.gif

anyway, the old razer jedi inventory got no DAs...just some CHs, tarantulas, barracudas and something else i forgot...so too bad for them...if want DA now gotta buy themselves or just wait...

i tried my clanmate's piranha again also, soundwise seems to be the same with my steelsound 4H...price of cos also around the same...
but steelsound got retractable mic and more comfortable, so steelsound wins.

I do. It can fit my CH and I've read it can fit lachesis as well. But from my experience, inside the pouch there's a divider to separate the mouse from it's wire. That wire area is kinda a tight fit

actually the mouse lan pack is kinda useless...i also dunno why last time i buy it....it cost more than RM30 leh...lowyat got mah...try look at thundermatch there....

the led looks weak cos of the flash.
actually my itchy hands peeled most of the rubber coating off the buttons...cos it started to have little bumps etc on it from sweat corrosion etc...
but its now got new buttons and shell from the pro-tools kit...and its now relegated to reserve mouse.

i dread the day i have to do that to my BSCE...

my copperhead almost 2 years ady... then can put on pro tools kit.. hahaha...sure got some scratches towards the rubber things.. my 1 is those near the logo light there...

Yeah I wonder if still under warranty can RMA or not but I think is wear off think is not cover by the warranty coz is user own fault I guess

About the gift redemption thing, so I juz show them the receipt of the razer item I buy within this month & the cert of authenticity can d? The shop I buy from must be listed in the picture on the 1st post is it? I f not cannot?

does anyone knw where i can fix my deathadder left click button around kl?

my left click dsnt seem to respond well while dragging a folder/icon/scrollbar. sometimes it double clicks even though u oni click once or it dsnt respond at all. unfortunately, this happens after the warranty expires.

or u can try to source for the first lanpack on ebay or here somewhere...
iirc, less than 100 made it to malaysia...cos that time got no razer distro.

the first lanpack is big, cos that time razer made it so can fit the cd driver in it also...
but now thumbdrives so cheap...bah...
but then again, the newer lanpack cannot fit shit...definitely wont fit the boomslang also...

Honestly, the Aurantia looks like a total rip off. It looks like a cheap keyboard with orange letters and a Lycosa wrist rest. How that makes it a "gaming keyboard" is beyond me.

The Razer Piranha is a pretty good headset for the price, better than quite a few others. But don't get the Razer Barracuda unless you feel lucky. I did, and I got a good set, but do a quick search on the forum and you'll find a lot of horror stories.

for some razer stupid gimmick marketing reason, they call it 7.1 cos it provides a 3-D soundscape.

its actually a STEREO headset that uses HRTF.

this thing can even pick u dusts inside the grooves of the pad.. which is really really good..

a must have for all cloth pad users i'd say..

The razer website stated that it's limited to 20 units and only available through contests wor. If it's true, it will be a rare item. White colored death adder. Good for collectors.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but doing a search on the forum turns out 'irrelevant' hits.

Basically looking for a down to earth review of the lycosa, focusing on multiple key presses(previous keyboards had a limit of 3 i believe, before turning up an error), and wear and tear of it(fading keys).

on another note, Ban Leong is only open 9am - 5.30pm on weekdays. Making it inconvenient to redeem the free gifts sad.gif. Might have to take a day off just to get the freebies.

the lycosa can definitely do more than 3 no problem.
the keys wear and tear, all depends on ur usage.
i have seen some rubber coatings come off, but most have lasted since release.

for ban leong, u can call them to make special arrangements.

BUT...
salmosa china version is coming next month.

and for those who thinking of buying the aurantia keyboard, my advise is to hold on til end of this yr...cos a new razer keyboard thats priced around RM1xx will be coming out.

megalodon also will be coming out end of this yr, hopefully all before PC FAIR.

as long as the feel of the keys is the same, im sure ppl will be happy.

since the salmosa doesnt have rubber coated buttons, im assuming the aurantia also has non-rubber coated keys.

I might just cry. But as mentioned earlier, it is odd that Razer hasn't announced it. They're the kings of announcing things ages before they're released. Unless they don't want the release of the Megalodon and the other stuff to overshadow the keyboard, so they're holding it over for the next batch.

Well the razor website got say mah the large one is 44.4cm x 35.5cm , medium is 35.5cm x 25.4cm & small is 27cm x 21.5cm. So u juz take a ruler see the measurement lo

hmm..can get from bulk..RM55 only..alpha..large for low sens ppl..as nid more space to move ur hand..

i got razer mantis control..thinkin of selling..its the same surface..jus design n all change..interested let me noe..

It's a entry-level mouse. Considering it has polling rate and DPI switches as well as the 3G IR sensor, it's already feature laden compared to the Krait which it is replacing. Don't expect too much from a mouse at its price from a company like Razer.

Yup, coz it have 1800DPi infrared 3G sensor, but they say is suitable for RTS gaming, but I feel y don't u get the DeathAdder instead of the Salmosa? DeathAdder looks good, haha

juz that i failed to update it during the updating process...
they require me to unplug kb, hold esc, plug , unhold then click next..

Well it happened to me too, I'm not sure if it really is the solution, but make sure you enable USB legacy support thing in your bios, the firmware updates perfectly right after I did that on my board. Give it a try.

this happened to me too...then somehow i managed to update it...the instructions are a bit wrong...it seems u have to hold then stop holding the key or something...just keep trying....i did, and now its working well....hehe tongue.gif

Yep, certainly can. Done it before with the exact same mice. Now doing it with DA and Lachesis.

rubber? u mean the surface of the body of DA? if so, yes, but the sides are plastic.. the clicking noise is not that noisy actually, if my memory still serves me, ikari mouse got louder clicking noise than DA.. (this one im not sure, need confirmation from sifus)

Depends. I find the plastic sides pretty good grip unless your hands get real wet real quick. And more important than the material is the shape. The CH would be suited to claw grippers, DA for palmers.

well i've been using a logitech ball mouse for like donkey years, and i'd say the da's clicking sound is similar, or even a tad louder than my good ol` classic ball mouse. sweat.gif but i do think its very smooth to play fps games with.

for the salmosa, i think it should suit those who has small palms, like me.

on the fly means u can chg the dpi while in game..or anytime actually..lik mayb u nid diff dpi for diff guns in fps..

how can we noe salmosa gud for cod anot..its up to personal preference..i duno cz i dun own 1..go to any IT shop n try 4urself..mayb u will end up buyin another mouse..u nvr noe..its bout the feel of the mouse in ur hand..dun wory bout the specs yet..the feel is most imp..lik professional players, the mouse they use only 400dpi..no on the fly n all..its up to u..

haha..c lo..if u dun mind spoiling ur mousefeet den dun use mousepad..its up to u..but then mousepad is quite important as well..lik on the steelseries, no matter how much u spend on ur comp, not communicating well ur comp is useless..n the mousepad provide gud communication..haha..

Mousefeet can change.. No Prob. Its as Easy as 123.

Literally,

1. Take out Old Mousefeet
2. Wipe Clean the base with Alcohol Swab, Make sure no dust or stains on the Base. Or else it wont adhere perfectly
3. Stick the New Mousefeet on. Your ready to Rock!

yup... i use lachesis for 2-3 weeks then sold back...
my lcd so small to use the 4000 dot per inch... need a very big reso if wanna use lachesis 4000 dpi...
so far my death adder serve my asus vw223b well ^^

Depends on your grip. Palm grippers would rather die than use Lachesis, claw grippers would have a nightmare with the DA. Not everyone uses a palm grip.

i uhhh fall in between somewhere.
from palm starting using logitech mx500...DA also i can use, but i get more accuracy with claw.

Heh, same. That's why Lachesis, which is sorta in between, is my fav. The high "butt" of the mouse fits nicely into the palm, while the sides and buttons are good for the claw grip. Sort of a hybrid grip. Then sensor's been good to me as well, at least with the firmware update and all. No jitter as far as I've noticed, and definitely not skipping.

hmm..i tried holdin my fren's lachesis..hahah..its so tough for palm grip ppl..cz the mouse front part lik sudd sunken in..guess they purposely made it for claw grip..but u hav both DA n lachesis..means u use 2 grips?

@hihihehe..first time i hear ppl say DA not comfortable..haha..but den after u get used to it..i tink it'll b great..hehe..

some user like higher dpi on the screen no matter it's laptop or desktop.

I'm using a gigabyte gm-r04 on 1024x768 at 1.6k dpi. That dpi serves me well.

But sadly my laptop is using the wireless mouse at 1k dpi at 1280x800... Hoping to get razer ch next month. drool.gif
