Wow..My Lycossa had been under RMA for over a month. LOL...How long is it going to take?

1 question here guys, i am planning to get the Goliathus mousepad to replace my current DKT MonsterMat. Which version is the same size and surface? And is the Speed and Control version alot of difference?

Thanks..

I called the shop though and its said to still be under warranty and would call me back a week later. Wondering whether they sent it to ban leong or somewhere else.

I am currently on my Krait and not really thinking of changing it. But my MonsterMat is already more than 2 years old. Showing signs of wear and tear and now thinking of getting a replacement. I dont really like the ExactMat, and thats why thinking about Goliathus.

So, the Alpha version is actually the same size as the MonsterMat? If its smoother, i dont mind getting the speed version. smile.gif

but if u r comfortable..y dun go for the same mat?haha..but goliathus is a gud deal none de less..
*
Well, i would like to really try out other mat and see how it goes. LOL..ANd it seems that the Goliathus Alpha/Speed is like a good deal. But at some point, i kinda feel the MonsterMat is a tad too big. Maybe i should look at a size smaller. smile.gif

Joining Razer club. Bought Razer Lycosa. Anyone hv issue on the touchpanel? It's not respond when I tap the keys. Installed the driver v1.0 provided in the CD & using Vista SP1
*
I had issues on the first day as well but after reinstalling the OS and driver, its fine. The problem i had with my Lycossa is :

- The blinking led lights issue. LEDs keep changing mode without me doing anything

- Loose USB and Sound ports. The USB port just seem abit too loose.

y dun try steel series?hhaha..i noe dis is razer thread..lol.

first day oso lik dat d?worse den my CH..haha..betta take bck n ask ban leong..
*
Well, i did check out SteelSeries but of course, i am keeping my options opened. If the Goliathus is going to be good, then i might as well jump over to it.

Or should i get the Destructor instead?

The loose USB and Sound port was since day one when i got it but thinking i would not use them, i leave it as it should be. However, just barely 1 - 2 months of using the keyboard, blinking issues start happening and ever since then, its been in RMA mode.

Not really. There isnt any sample to touch and feel.

Will it be better than Krait i am wondering? Cause at that price, it could be a perfect replacement for my ageing Krait.

Black keys without LED lightings? Can they even see the wording?

And whats the difference between a normal Lycossa with the Mirror Special Edition?

the point is not to see the wordings...something like the Das Keyboard.

btw, razer have removed the new keyboards from the links...
seems to be some communication breakdown there...maybe the guy who does the website got fired already so no one to maintain the timer tongue.gif

as for the mirror lycosa.
it possibly may be a lycosa for ppl like me who hate the rubber coating, ie. no irritating rubber on it.
if so i may just get one.
*
Well, if the Mirror Special Edition did remove the rubber coating and replace it with something else, it would have been a good move. I do not fancy the rubber coating on my Lycossa as well, not due to the coating fading but because its such a dust attractor. I wonder whether there is any difference in term of tech on both the special edition and on the normal version though.

Regarding the black keys, well, guess its not for me though. For gaming, probably yes but for typing , not though.

Its nt for u to see, it forces you to type without looking, hence increase typing speed~
*
LOL..I doubt its even designed for typing tongue.gif

Maybe they designed it for gamers that uses specifically that few keys (which they knew so well whereby you dont need to look at them while gaming tongue.gif )

too bad theres no usb port on the arctosa.. elsewise i might think of it.. at least they got something right this time - non-rubbered keys..
*
Well, i for one does not really fancy the USB port on the Lycossa itself. I kinda like the idea of having audio ports but i rarely use the USB port. Heck, the USB port on the Lycossa is kinda loose as well. My first one was really loose (plug in pendrive and the pendrive can be move around easily, if you get what i mean) and RMAed the keyboard, gotten a new one which is still loose as well.

LOL..Cause its not from Razer? tongue.gif

Anyway, mine doesnt really have problem with Pendrive, its able to detect but as said, somehow its showing USB1.1 though. But heck, i hate the loose USB port. sad.gif

btw anyone know wat is the price for old keyboard?
price drop and still same?
i like this new keyboard, but it not don have usb port.
and no come with LED.

now the price is reasonable.
*
If you mean the old Lycossa, its still roughly around RM280+ IIRC. Razer products rarely drop its price even with new announcement though. Even the Krait is still at around RM90+ with the announcement of Salmosa.

i also plan to get a lycosa with mirror version.
btw how u guys get the item?
import?
how about the headset?
when release?
*
Just wait for the item to be released over here in Malaysia. I am sure Ban Leong would be bringing them in. It would normally take a couple of months before they are officially sold here.

The Mirror Version definitely is interested. smile.gif
