QUOTE(f4tE @ Apr 21 2010, 08:37 PM) ya i also join mirc metal channel to download songs. But never heard of kafan probably because nobody dcc mp3 around lol actually #kafan is not a place to download mp3 around the mIRC... hahahaha.. it's the place to chat and to spread the upcoming news on what happen to the scene of metal locally or worldwide.most of the download channel is not based on the webnet. Previously, i prefer to buy stuff which is ordered directly from overseas before 1997 (around RM2.50 per USD1), but until then the rate exchange of american dollar raise up... and i only depends on promo stuff from the record label which is given free for me because i'm doing a review on metal stuff or i just heading to kedai auntie after that. After Nebiula Metal Shop was open by jaie, we got lot of options to buy too instead of ordering to overseas unless if i wanna grab a limited edition digipak CD's of my favourite band... |

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ Apr 25 2010, 12:12 AM) yeah.. it's once my passion all over in the past, but recently i was called back to listen to metal stuff. I considered this thing like a food... Food for my ears.. haha now i'm searching back all the ol' metal friend. i still remember that when i went to tommy and nick (do u remember that Dark Journey Records in the 90's? both guys were their previous owner, but Dark Journey already dead) shop at pertama complex.. they both got shocked by my appearance.. totally difference.. sometimes we need changes... but my heart for metal were still there and i cannot lie upon myself that i have a passion for that... i'm borned to be a metaller.. I missed a lot of the lost stuff at my old rent house in setapak.. |

old school headbanger would never considered nu-metal as a part of metal. I understand that sentiment because as a follower of thrash metal, i think screamo, nu-metal etc. is aimed generally for commercial market. Look how fast screamo, all those pop goes punk cover band fanbase grow in the past 2 years usually within high school to tenageer. Afterall, the music and song structure itself is inferior to thrash and heavy metal.

QUOTE(low7 @ Apr 26 2010, 02:21 AM) i know about them, but the band not supposed to be here... Either they're good or not.. it's not a metal band. This is a metal topic. Anyone can start nu-metal/nu-age or whatever you call them in another thread if you think that band is good.. No offense for that. Supposed metal only stand for True metal sound not the crap/fake/poser/rap-style type of band in this world.. sorry... Sodom FTW!!!! hahahahahah you guys can refer back to the 1st page: QUOTE user posted image This thread is dedicated to Metal, namely user posted image Heavy Metal Thrash Metal Death Metal Black Metal !!! Added on April 26, 2010, 5:59 am QUOTE(lati0s @ Apr 24 2010, 12:25 PM) i'll watch it on this afternoon.. ![]() Until The Light Takes Us is a 2009 feature documentary about Norwegian black metal, from directors Aaron Aites and Audrey Ewell. The film features interviews with the originators of black metal, including Varg Vikernes who is interviewed in prison, where he was incarcerated for killing a bandmate. The film attempts to unravel the truth behind the church burnings and murders committed by a group of young musicians the media called "Satanists", but who, in reality, had far different motives. The film focuses mainly on the events surrounding the genesis, rise, and continuation of the genre and the people that created it. Featured Interviews * Gylve "Fenriz" Nagell (Musician, Darkthrone) * Varg "Count Grishnackh" Vikernes (Musician, Burzum, Mayhem) * Jan Axel Hellhammer Blomberg (Musician, Mayhem) * Olve "Abbath" Eikemo (Musician, Immortal) * Harald "Demonaz" Nævdal (Musician, Immortal) * Bjarne Melgaard (Visual artist) * Kristoffer "Garm" Rygg (Musician, Ulver) * Kjetil "Frost" Haraldstad (Musician, Satyricon, Gorgoroth, 1349) This post has been edited by kInOzAwA: Apr 26 2010, 05:59 AM |

The more serious they get, the funnier I think they become..
"I ist blek metulz, I cut myself like emoboys in abandoned museums" Fenriz and Varg already have outgrown from that attitude but until now still producing good musics. Yep, those brazillian guys. Really like their earlier sound when their stuffs was released in Warfare Noise compilation with Mutilator, Vulcano and Sarcofago. |

QUOTE(f4tE @ Apr 28 2010, 01:15 PM) I call them a new wave of death metal music rather than metalcore. Pure Metalcore remind me of Biohazard, the old band. But most metaller didn't see any trouble with the new wave of death metal.. the band like The Black Dahlia Murder, Neaera, As I Lay Dying, Unearth, Bleeding Through, I Killed The Prom Queen, As Blood Runs Black, As Cities Burn, Between the buried and me, Bury Your Dead, Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, Through the eyes of the dead and tons others... |
