QUOTE(xviix @ Feb 9 2010, 01:12 PM) yup...melodeath with very heavy pop influence (especially Dead By April sometimes sounds like a boyband during the choruses)..Scar Symmetry is cool too..XD i tried to listen to their song in youtubefrom wat i heard,i consider them as metalcore+screamo for me,melodic death metal is like old inflames, wintersun, kalmah etc... but nvm, just listen to the music, dont care about the genre |

QUOTE(kInOzAwA @ Apr 28 2010, 08:11 PM) Metal has no boundaries, indeed but some genres create a law (esp. black metal) to differentiate between other genres. I care about genres.. It's really shows that you're know what are you listening to or not and is it you're a real metaller or just being a trendy on the music scene. This determine your knowledge about the music too.. Yes, it looks like a short minded, but you might saw a lot of old timer of metal might say the same think like this too unless if you're not been in underground scene where at that time we're making trading without profit for the love of the metal music, we share the flyers amongst us by traditional way (mail) and trade in some good stuff, and contact the band by ourselves. We're not depends on the shop to get the stuff, so we will get news faster than others too. nice......Nowadays it's differs, more ppl like of being glamor and didn't pay much attention on the metal ethics. So many posers out there claimed they're listen to this band and that band but not knowing whose the real root, the origin, some ppl also claimed they're pioneer band but in reality they're such a copycat of others band. This will differentiate between the new comer and the old timer of metal of course! Anyway i'm not listening to metal music only, i also listen to the old school hardcore band like D.R.I, Embrace, Fugazi, Casey Jones, Dag Nasty, Absurd, Agnostic Front, Bad Brains, Buzzcocks, Embrace Today, 25 Ta Life, Backbone, Mineral, Refused, Strife, Earth Crisis, Propaghandi, Sunny Day Real Estate, Ignite, Youth of today, Texas is the reason etc.. Also the new wave of deathmetal, like the band i mentioned earlier and the old metalcore band like hatebreed, biohazard, Undying, Shadows Fall, Shai Hulud, Walls of Jericho etc.. Math core (instead of calling them math metal) / chaotic / fast core / screamo (real screamo is differ than trendy and commercial mtv emo crap) like this band Acheemelie, Ampere, Black Cross, Black Line Fever, Cassandra Complex, Coalesce, Cougar Den, Daitro, Dear Daiary I Seem to be dead, Denali, Envy (japan master screamo), Fear before the march of flames, Forensics, Framtid, Funeral Diner, Gauge Means Nothing, Hassan I sabbah, Hot Cross, Idiot Pilot, Jenny Piccolo, Kaaos, Kaospilot, La Quiete, Mihai Edrisch, Nervewreck, Norma Jean, Orchid, Neil Perry, Page 99, Shikari, The Jhai Alai, The Locust, Utarid (malaysian screamo.. not commercial type of band!).... ahhh so many of them if i mentioned all you'll be shocked by then.. hahahahahahhahahahahah I also listening to grindcore, crust grind, D-beat, noise core, noise grind, crossover stuff, mince core... you can always ask me if you wanna know about them... I can differentiate either they're on metalside or otherwise.. i also listen to the bands in bold i would like to congratulate to u for staying true to urself btw yeah it was my mistake,it should be MATHCORE instead of MATHMETAL i dunno since when the 'mathmetal' genre pop up,but recently i saw they use that genre to label meshuggah music btw ive been into underground scene too,i even play in gigs with my previous band even sharing same stage with those local bands u stated above talking about ethics n posers......ive seen it all some of these people who really stand by the ethics in the underground scene back then, are now the one who sells out skang da masuk tv,main music mainstream......dulu masa main kt underground kutuk semua tu kaw2 hahaha but i dont mind that, peoples change....dont they ? like i said,i just want to enjoy good music.....no longer interested with genre n ethics if anybody else want to stand by their ethics n wanna continue doing it......go ahead........i will support u to do watever u believe in *btw Shai Hulud is coming to kl,7th may This post has been edited by bug_vengeance: Apr 29 2010, 09:26 AM |

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ Jun 4 2010, 08:54 PM) According to Metal Hammer, last night's (Thursday, June 3) SLAYER concert at the Forum in London, England was shut down for 25 minutes while a fan was taken out of the venue in a stretcher. some people prefer to watch their hero perform, checkout every single riff/drumbeat they playingDespite a strong police presence outside the show, it reportedly took the ambulance service nearly half an hour to get to the venue an take the fan to a hospital. SLAYER was forced to put its show on hold while the injured fan was left unconscious on the Forum floor waiting for the emergency services to arrive. Anthony Jenkins, who attended last night's concert, tells BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "The show initially ground to a halt during the fourth song, 'Disciple', when the band realized that there was a fan who was seriously hurt in the pit to the extent that they couldn't be moved. There was a 20-minute delay while the ambulance crew arrived, loaded said fan on to a stretcher and wheeled him out. Tom [Araya, SLAYER bassist/vocalist] then thanked to the crowd for being so patient and laid back before launching back into the show and treating everyone to a world-first, the whole of 'Seasons In The Abyss' back to back." this is why i don't like moshpit or any equivalent. i have one question her,e how are the moshers gonna watch the band perform while they're busy at the moshpit? some people just headbanging some people jump, mosh n do watever they want, cos the adrenaline is pumping despite the injury n all the 'negative' comment here about moshpit,i still like it btw,any latest metal/rock albums released on the market ? latest album i checkout is dew scented, quite ok |
