wat we know is, TV-Tuner is for watching TV. definitely not for enable your notebook to play PS2 game.

i can only say if tht a tv tuner only is needed to play ps2 games, then why do ppl buy ps2s?

My unit arrived today ^^ Tried the TV tuner with remote control... Strictly for watching TV and listening to digital radio like TV1, TV2 Traxx FM etc. only. Surprisingly I can't scan for NTV7, 8TV and TV3....

Hey guys, i plan to buy the dell xps studio 16 inch.....now there is e code coupon tat give rm250 cash redemption when u buy over rm4000....but the offer is only until 12 march 2009... And the pc fair is comming... so i dono whether i should buy it now or wait until pc fair for more free gift...Any ideas????

may i know that when i fully delete the partition and reinstall window by using my own disc ....

will the recovery disc and device disc still can be use after i reformat whole unit ?
my friend told me that the recovery disc is taking the software from ur computer ~.~

better wait until pc fair ~ dell sure gv 500 cash redemption and may be gv 1gb ram upgrade and free harddisc upgrade or free back.

last time i order my studio after PC fair hv 500 cash redemption, 1gb ram upgrade, 320hard disk upgrade, and free backpack

except full fan speed ..... other works well

hi guys..yesterday when i play music/movie at quite a high level (master volume=100, winamp=25) the right speaker seems create a buzz/pop sound (like broken sound)..is it normal?the left speaker seems work normally without the annoying sound..

my replacement unit come with 4 damages ..
1. still at the leather but now worse than the previous problem
2. monitor edge has a damage
3. inner monitor hv scrathces
4. near the senser bar there hv little damage ~.~

what the Hell ~.~

temperature up to 80,just normal using it

PPl sure laugh at me when i take this unit out !!
the leather damage very serious !!
the keyboard is course type or smooth type

i think my notebook gonna arrive late, been in production over a week d and some ppl in other forums are reporting theirs getting delayed. apparently not enough 500gb drives

btw, paskal , the 500gb drives are from samsung

like i said, refund the unit and never buy a dell ever again. get yourself another brand.

never knew there's 500gb drives from samsung. hopefully there'll be 1TB 2.5". i'm so gonna buy those.

Didn't try the Creative one, because the IDT driver deserves to be on its own, in my opinion IDT+Creative Sound Blaster just doesn't sound right to me.
On the BIOS, don't use this version for now; many Studio XPS 16 users (globally) agreed that Dell wouldn't upload a BIOS firmware which has a revision number that's lower than the current version.
For instance the current BIOS version is A05, the one on Dell's website is revision A02, that's weird isn't it? Just stay away from this 'new' BIOS for now. When I try to flash my BIOS using this file a few days ago, it wouldn't run on Windows environment.

previous original unit function better than replacement unit=refurbish unit. (in high performance mode)

It should work. I did it with my studio xps13. I deleted the recovery partition and 1 more hidden partition (forgot the name) and reformat Windows Vista. Just use the reinstallation DVD to reinstall Vista, then after that use the Driver and Utilities DVD to reinstall all the drivers and software for your laptop

so the hidden partition enable you to use recover disc.

(yea .... notebook no more lagging ^.^ use reformat and vista master to delete unnecessary filethen uninstall,if not just reformat still hv abit lagging )

hehe ... after sem break i can install window 7 or ultimate or dual window.
