Pal, your price with the specs stated above seems to be cheaper compared to the almost same web customized specs. I have sent RFQ to Dell HQ in Penang 2 days ago and this is what they quoted for me (already told them this might be my 3rd Dell):

Dell Studio XPS 16:

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor P8600 (2.40 GHz/ 1066 FSB/ 3MB Cache)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium 32 bit SP1 Edition (English)
16" 1080p Full HD WUXGA (1920x1080) Anti-Glare RGBLED Display with 2.0MP webcam
4GB (2 X 2GB) Dual Channel 1067MHz DDR3 SDRAM
320GB SATA 7200RPM Performance Hard Drive
Slot Load 8X DVD+/-RW Drive with double layer write capability
512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670
Intel® WiFi Link 5100 (802.11a/g/n) Half Mini-card (MY)
Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD Audio Software
Dell™ Wireless 370 Bluetooth Module (MY)
6-Cell (56WHr) Li-Ion Primary Battery
Designed for Dell™ Studio XPS 16" Sleeve
Integrated TV Tuner and Antenna
Dell™ ExpressCard ™ Travel Remote Control
3-year XPS Premier Service with 3-year CompleteCover & 24x7 support

Total RM5,600

Think this price can be further marked down right? Would it be cheaper if i get it through retail computer shops in Klang Valley? Appreciate some enlightenment guys TY. blush.gif

Hey cktey,

Which Microsoft Office package did you opt for? Is it Microsoft Works 9.0?
*
oops i omitted this part. I don't wanna add $$ for Microsoft Office 2007, noob on using it and prefer 2003.

so mine is Microsoft® Works 9.0 (Does Not Include Microsoft® Office 2003/2007 Software)

My unit arrived today ^^ Tried the TV tuner with remote control... Strictly for watching TV and listening to digital radio like TV1, TV2 Traxx FM etc. only. Surprisingly I can't scan for NTV7, 8TV and TV3....

For my lappy, with vista 32-bit, the TV tuner works well and good signals (TV1, TV2, radio channel) can be received in Klang Valley. But when I moved to Japan it can't works due to hardware incompatibility of receiving the signals here.

Soon all analogue channel would be switched into digital terrestrial signal (DVB-T) in few years time... unless planned to use this laptop for that long period... it's quite worth for investment...

Dell Japan here offered the USB TV tunner instead of PCI-E... with most of the channel in HD mode, it's quite tempting to get 1 and utilize full HD display of this lappy here.
