Hey, I am thinking about getting the Studio XPS 16.

But is there the 9-cell battery available for this model?
There is no option to customise to a 9-cell online.

Where can I get the 9-cell battery?

so far 9 cells not available at M'sia ....
I keep ask this question to Dell ...hour something in high performance.
try ask the dealer .... the website hv hidden customize section not for use use but for sales agent ~.~

SXPS 9cells batteries only stand for 2 and half

I saw at ebay USA they sell 9 cells at $US 99.99 ...

new Studio 1555 graphic score is 5.4 something desktop score is 5.3 ...
studio 1537 with 9 cells in high performance is 4 hours ... ~.~ crazy .... (i experience b4)

haiz ... studio 1550 compare with SXPS 1640 dont know which one win ?? may be SXPS 16 ... but in term of price and performance i think studio 1550 win gua ...

I hv question to ask, any one can post their TV tunner antenna at here. i get the antenna so ugly one T.T.
the remote control is Dell travel remote control no special control .... spoils my mood ...

P8700 is 45nm, more energy efficient.

sxps 16 graphic score is 5.6 and desktop score is 5.9, it's not really slower.. i remember studio 1555 3dmark06 is around 4.2k while sxps 16 is more than 4.8k for me.. sxps 16 still win in term of performance but not on price. it's mainly expensive because of the ddr3 ram still very high now plus maybe the name and design (leather?)..

hmm ... my SXPS 16 graphic score is 5.9 and gaming graphic is 5.5

why ur gaming graphic is 5.6 ?? ~.~
how to configure ??

my processor is 5.4
memory is 5.9
primary hard disk is 5.8 lower than b4 reformat is 5.9

any one know how to upgrade score ??

there isnt much differences between 5.5 and 5.6.. i dun even think that benchmark really make much sense since the highest score is 5.9 or 6 only.. ppl with the world fastest graphic card will also might score the same as yours..

hmmm.... but those ppl using better graphic (ranking higher than this unit) the score sure higher unless they processor ,ram,and motherboard make a different.
bcoz processor,ram, and motherboard do affect the graphic performance.

ATI 3670 better than Nvidia 9600 GS just by one ranking both is 2nd class graphic. but this ATI better bcoz it's DDR3 and using DDR3 ram this will enhance the graphic performance. my friend using ASUS with 512mb nvidia 9600GS with hypermemory up 1or 2gb gua (forgotten) the gaming graphic scored is 5.1 but ram is 800 DDR2. he unit brought last year... about 6k ++ at PC fair. processor T9400 2.53Ghz 1066FSB enhancement T series.

another is using refurbish unit XPS M1530 brought arround 1.5k.
graphic is nvidia 8600GT but gaming graphic sscore is 4.2++ with processor t7+++ and 2gb DDR2 ram gua...

En, the new studio XPS m13, i will consider it, but still do not understand why they remove the XPS logo from the cover lid, XPS m1330 and m1550 got that XPS on the cover lid, the studio XPS even it is XPS, but no such logo liao. why leh...

Mine arrived on the exact date indicated on their website.

Anyone here bought online using the 0% instalment plan?

Okay, I placed an order for the Studio XPS 16 and it is now at the acknowledgement stage.
It is taking forever to be confirmed by the bank (Maybe because it's a Sunday)

Anyway, in the event I would want to buy an additional battery in the future, which battery should I get?

It seems that all the batteries are labelled "Latitude"

It takes 24 hours for the bank to approve the transaction; as for the battery, those are Latitude batteries; not sure if there's any spare ones available for purchase (for the Studio XPS 16).

haiz .... my SPXS 16 take 6-10 seconds to complete window start up... quite slow ....
how to make it straight enter window and every program finish running, and dont need to wait.

wandering my unit hv any problem or not. i keep heard short circuit sound when running score update.
everyday i startup window i notice that my harddisc space keep decreasing ~.~ even i just uninstall program with complete delete ... the Harddisc space still decreasing ~.~

any one know how to set the ATI graphic card to share memory ??

my order got delayed till 31st march thts like 1 month! hopefully they dont delay it again or ill get pretty pissed.
