next week they come to repair my unit by part ....
I want to ask they why i hear shock circuit sound ~.~
scared hv a time bomb in my notebook ...

Wanna ask SXPS 16 users 2 things:

-How's the sound quality from the speakers with the subwoofer??
-Does the leather patch at the back get scratched easily??

yes the leather scratched easily. for my experience... i dont need accidentally scratched it, Dell send me with scratches twice ald
but most easily scratched is the smooth outer monitor cover !!
must put it in the cover provided by dell or go buy screen protector for outer cover. but i go to Penang Komtar look for cover non-fix it. even 17'' ~.~
watch out at the palm rest there easily get scratches or scratches due too too hot.

for the subwoofer i think it's better than the previous dell unit. but know it come with new audio ...

go KL lowyat there hv a shop sell this service. the screen protector reusable. Is around RM60++ damn Expensive

This Mei I may be taking my SXPS 16 go Lowyat do this service while buying keyboard and cooler at there. Penang no such service....
My GreenLife cooler X-800 not fit will for this unit ... looking for larger cooler with 3 fans (one fan must at the harddisc)

I knew it would get scratched easily... I checked it out in the AllIT Hypermarket in Ikano, and felt that the leather was very fragile... I didn't get a chance to try out the sound though, just curious... What do u mean by "new audio"???

upgrde what audio??im using 64bit vista, doesnt fit.

Hope here hv ppl go buy it ... but so far SXPS 16 all is subwoofer with IDT but me use IDT & audio Sound blaster
(old version) nothing different.

for IDT Codec SPR premium... I try set high definition around 20 to 60% the sound just get laughter but unclear ~.~
dont know why ....

but here no ppl SXPS using wifi link 5300 just me @.@

may be dell will upgrade more !! or hv 9 cell batteries, new graphic card using 1st class graphic,use window 7 or processor i7... But if new graphic may be SXPS will like XPS m1330 overheat problem ~.~
This unit must equip 9-cells ... if not not enough power for a student.
they are testing ATI with Studio ... white mouse...
I regret to buy it so early ... now I rugi RM800 when hv 500 cash redemption... haiz ...can hv a full HD ...

it looks like just a software enhancement, it shouldnt make a big differences between IDT.

How "hot" is your hot??? Try Cooler Master's Notepal series, specifically the Infinite.

this unit very hot !! my so far my max up to 80 just normal using without cooler ... ~.~

go find 3 fans cooler .... but fans spin must fast ... get an aluminum cooler. look at previous post ... hv ppl post good cooler master

80c normal usage? Check from internal software or what? that's freaking high compare to mine..

Solid state drive, new data storage device, try google it.

CREATIVE Sound Blaster® X-Fi MB Audio Software Solution is a software. you can easily know it from the name itself software solution. rm29 only wont let you get any internal audio hardware device from creative for laptop, at least for now.

one more thing not enough batteries power ...
dont hv wifi catcher but other dell unit hv unfair for use
try open ur monitor at 90 degree ..that can reduce hot from running back ... adjust ur notebook higher from desk... bottom need to expel hot air from graphic ...
for USB buy extension
for scratches handle it carefully ... dont put ur hand on palm rest or wearing any hand decoration ...
sure hv alot scratches at plam rest.
next week they come to fix my unit ... wander they technician will make any scratches on it ??

there's 1 esata usb combo on the right, you can use it as usb if you really need it. they should really add abit more usb connector..

how to use that esata ??

no need extra cabling.. the slot below your dvd drive, just plug it in like normal usb to the middle will do.
