After about 300 hours of burn in........
it is kinda magic. i didn't notice it at first because i always use bijou in office. Today i take bijou home to try with my FiiO amp. When compare side by side with PMX60, really feel the difference now. sound stage and clarity is now much better than my Sennheiser PMX-60! PMX60 sounds FLAT compared to bijou, like the instruments and voice cramp together (aka Staging), bass response is definately better than PMX-60 because bijou is in-ear. Well, it took 300hours to realize it's potential for me. too bad FiiO amp didn't work too well for bijou. |

QUOTE(m4a1rifle @ Oct 13 2008, 08:00 PM) After about 300 hours of burn in........ I certainly hope that it's the same for me. I've burned in like 100 hours already and I think it only sounds sub par compared to my Razer pro tones m100. it is kinda magic. i didn't notice it at first because i always use bijou in office. It's single driver. dual driver is implemented property can improve the details because each driver have limited frequencies to respond to. if only 1 driver, it has to produce all the frequencies.
but if dual driver not implemented properly, it will have resonance.. sound loudness not equal across the spectrum. IMO. btw.. 1 downside with bijou.. the ear tip sux. lol. any recommendations? |

You can start with Q-jays. Hi guys,
I just got my Mylarone Bijou Gunmetal and... before I start my rant, let me try to prove that I am not a moron. I have one CX300, which I use regularly, so I do know how to use IEMs. I have one SR60, which I use regularly, so I am not really that tone deaf. Something is wrong with my Bijous. The sound is lopsided. To be specific, every spectrum on the left side, is off. The bass and volume level between both sides are so obviously different. It's so obvious that it's giving me headaches. Before you question me, yes, I have checked and make sure the seal is tight on both side. And here is a run down of things I tried. 1. Switching both side's foam tips to one size bigger 2. Switching both side's foam tips to one size smaller 3. Change left side's foam tip only to one size bigger 4. Change left side's foam tip only to one size smaller And every time I made a change, I tested with by swapping left and right sides. And it is confirmed, the sound is .... for the lack of better words... bad on the left side. Right side = nice tight bass/treble, left side = RM10 headphones = shallow, veiled, flat. Does anyone else have the same problem? I notice it's still there after 8 hours of burning on, and getting even more obvious. Sure, sure. Some of you would scoff. What is 8 hours. These babies need 120hours+ of burn in right? But come on, even the volume should be balanced from the beginning, right? Oh before I forget, yes, I have tried with multiple sources (Creative Zen Vision:M, PC, notebook), and that's definitely rules out. Have I gotten a lemon? |
