Hi guys,

I just got my Mylarone Bijou Gunmetal and... before I start my rant, let me try to prove that I am not a moron.

I have one CX300, which I use regularly, so I do know how to use IEMs.
I have one SR60, which I use regularly, so I am not really that tone deaf.

Something is wrong with my Bijous. The sound is lopsided. To be specific, every spectrum on the left side, is off. The bass and volume level between both sides are so obviously different.

It's so obvious that it's giving me headaches. Before you question me, yes, I have checked and make sure the seal is tight on both side. And here is a run down of things I tried.

1. Switching both side's foam tips to one size bigger
2. Switching both side's foam tips to one size smaller
3. Change left side's foam tip only to one size bigger
4. Change left side's foam tip only to one size smaller

And every time I made a change, I tested with by swapping left and right sides.

And it is confirmed, the sound is .... for the lack of better words... bad on the left side. Right side = nice tight bass/treble, left side = RM10 headphones = shallow, veiled, flat.

Does anyone else have the same problem? I notice it's still there after 8 hours of burning on, and getting even more obvious.

Sure, sure. Some of you would scoff. What is 8 hours. These babies need 120hours+ of burn in right? But come on, even the volume should be balanced from the beginning, right?

Oh before I forget, yes, I have tried with multiple sources (Creative Zen Vision:M, PC, notebook), and that's definitely rules out.

Have I gotten a lemon?

Hi John, if the problem still exist, maybe the postage has done some damage to it. I do a replacement for you after burn in.

Hi walabies,

Thanks for responding. I will let it burn in until 120 hours (as many prescribe in this forum) then will do listen test again. Will keep everyone posted of the quality. Hopefully it will not dampen your sells, but just want to reflect my situation.

Hi sukhoi37,

Thanks for your comments - I did vaguely remember someone had the problem too, but for the love of it, I cannot find back the post.

I'll probably return mine next week, thanks for your kind reminder!
