Hi everybody,

i havae pay a visit at A&L amcorp mall, really the DV-610 was selling the good price with rm 480,
myself was taken one already, hurryup~~!  rclxm9.gif  thumbup.gif
*
I have asked my friend bought for me also.
Already got that.
Thanks all for the info, it's indeed true...

but mine was the last one, now selling RM550 for the stock they have, but i think still worth it

According to them, RM480 is their below cost selling, but whatever it is, still i think this is the lowest for time being

So for those who bought for RM650 or RM680, this is indeed a bit more than what you should pay for.

Also from this we would know that they won't sell for cheaper in future below than RM480, unless when it's going to be obsolete

Where can buy this?

The features are stunning,

only one thing does it read even scratched disc like Pioneer DV610
I tested the usual unplayable disc in other DVD player in my Pioneer DV610, it plays exceptionally well! surprisingly

How about Oppo?

It's hard to find here. Like I said, there was someone who said he can bring in Oppo players, I think he posted in this thread somewhere. sweat.gif

About playability, no idea. But it's one of high rated specialist DVD players. They don't make any other products.

me too.
Impressed with the features, but only the playability on the scratched disc, or even the ahem dics,
you know lah, good DVD is not good enough if they can't play the thinnest layer ahem discs, many player found problem when playing 'thinner' layer ahem discs due to low cost production

Pioneer DVD seem to do a good job on that, not yet found any discs not playable, even those previously i can't play on Sony or Philip DVD player...

Oppo's not china-based! They're based in Silicon Valley, California.

Who in their right mind would pay 1.2k for a china brand DVD player???

Trust me ..

Oppo is made in china..

If not mistaken .. de makers are actually a taiwanese/singaporean jt venture but made in China ( They hv an agent in Sg..) their sole purpose is to use gud quality parts tat matters n cheaper parts where it dont so to minimise cost.. Oso they dont use much for media ads .. preferin online sales n word of mouth rvws..

Its a llitle cheaper now - I tink its sub S$400( I bot for 430.. I think..) now cos there is a newer model - 983 wif a new vdo chipset, even better I heard..

BTW.. from ur views.. u all seem to hv it against china made products.. do u know there are sum great hifi stuff cumin from there now.. Shanling to name one.. n a couple of hybrid tubes - I forgot de name liao.. N oso where do u tink ur marantzs, onkyos, lower end denons are made ??

Cheers

Is there any product that isn't made in China nowadays? laugh.gif

My iPhone says "Designed by Apple in California, USA, Assembled in China". laugh.gif

My PS3, speakers, subwoofers, almost all made in China. So what to do, the least is to look for is the design and engineering part, or at least the brand itself is not from China. (My Onkyo proudly made in Malaysia though. whistling.gif )

*Note: Paradigm speakers and subwoofers are still made in Canada. But it's possible they'll move their production line to China to cut cost, only question is when. tongue.gif

I never trust China brands per se, but I have no choice for Japan/USA/EU/UK brands that are made in China. At least we these well known brands should have good engineering, design and QC, they're manufacturing them in China just to save the cost of labour, etc.
